River Palm Hotel & Resort

Rooms were nice! Very spacious, and the mattresses of the beds were very comfortable and not too soft. The hotel wifi was fast and connection was never an issue. The pool was nice and clean to swim in, and the beach huts felt very sturdy, durable, and easily allowed air to pass through.

The only downside is the restaurant service. The food took a while to serve most of the time, around 30 to 40mins (regardless if you eat in the restaurant or call for room service). It is understandable, however, since the staff is only a small number. They do make up for it though on the taste and quality of the food. Everything we ordered was delicious, and nothing lacked taste. The fruit juices tasted so fresh! Mabilis maubos yung food during the breakfast buffet, but the staff quickly took note and prepared a fresh batch of the food that was served within 10 minutes.

The location is nice. Our room had a good view overlooking the Agno River and the nearby bridge. We got a good glimpse of the sky during sunset.

Due to scheduled 12 hour brownout in our municipality, I decided to bring the family to River Palm. Initially we just thought about the Dip and Dine promo, but when we arrived to our surprise our relatives were also at the Hotel. We decided to check in and tey the place.

First thing you'll notice in the Hotel is that all their staff are very courteous and respectful. From the moment you arrive until the time you leave. They asked us if we needed assistance.

Second is the hotel is clean, from the parking lot to the pool area, to the rooms, to the restaurant and even the fishing spot. This is also one of the things we love about the place. The place is CLEAN.

Lastly, is aside from the pool they have other activities such as arts and crafts, fishing, biking, movie night and bonfire. My kids, even my wife enjoyed the experience.

I brought my family here on their trip to the Philippines. We were immediately impressed with how beautiful the resort was. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, while the rooms were very clean and modern.

We loved our stay so much, we can’t wait to come back.

Great place to spend a night or two without breaking your budget. The rooms are clean and still quite new.
The staff are also very helpful and nice amd available on call. There is a restaurant on the first floor that serves good food.

This is review is based only on their restaurant. We did not check in during our visit.

There’s only a handful of restaurant around Bugallon and this for sure is my personal best.

We arrived an hour after lunch and their restaurant has no guest during that time. Spacious, clean, and in pristine condition. The view outside overlooking the pool is a great compliment to your dining experience that you would choose to seat by the window to fully take in the view.

Their menu is simple yet easy to browse around. I would say they have a wide selection of Filipino foods ranging from pork to chicken to seafood. A good selection of cocktails and beer as well.

We ordered some familiar dishes and will review them individually:

1. Pigar Pigar — beef was soft, easy to chew and reasonably seasoned. The cut they used is different from the usual pigar pigar (I think they used the specific cut used on samgyupsals?). Though there’s more cabbage and onion than the meat itself, this dish is great for sharing and can fill you up easily.

2. 4 Sauce Chicken — I forgot the name of this dish but you get to choose what flavor you want. The quantity of the chicken wasn’t satisfactory but the flavor was so good I wish they had more. Not overpowered by the sauce and the chicken itself has its own flavor. A balanced dish with room for improvement quantity wise.

3. Sinigang na Hipon — the best dish we ordered; there’s around 10-12 prawns in here and they were big so you really get your money’s worth. Flavor wise, it was balanced and the ingredients used contributed a lot to this dish’s great appeal. I would personally recommend this!

4. Mushroom Soup — ever tried Shakey’s mushroom soup? This has the same flavor and all but better. This dish is going to be my “must have” when eating here. I would also recommend this for my fellow soup enjoyers!

5. Mango Shake — typical fruit shake though this is legit mango so the flavor is amazing.

Overall, the restaurant in this Hotel and Resort has some pretty good dishes that I feel everyone would enjoy. The view and the food are great combinations when dining here. Price wise, it is pretty pricey considering it’s within the hotel and resort’s premises but it’s reasonable. The menu may need some tiny improvement.

I would suggest that the establishment should make a separate Google Map for their restaurant to avoid mixing reviews on their Hotel & Resort and in house restaurant. It will also help the business a lot of they have a copy of the restaurants menu in their official website of in their Google Map page to allow potential guest some insight.
