Hotel XYZ

Modern room, comfortable big bed, good bathroom, rooftop terrace pool. When you book it online in advance you can get very good rates. But when you are a walk-in guest or want to extend, it's very expensive.
The Wi-Fi will function for you only until 1pm of the check-out day. The breakfast is good, but I missed fruits.

We visit the rooftop restaurant. It's near the pool and we enjoyed the nice atmosphere. We ate grilled salmon. Very good. Cocktail as desert. Also recommended.

Really nice hotel, in the heart of downtown Tacloban. Great bakery next door. And lots of shops, supermarkets, malls conveninece store, and market stalls within a short walking distance.

It has an awesome bar and food area next to the pool, looking out across Tacloban, on the 9th and 10th floor. Cocktails were excellent. As wlth most Philippines hotels, set your expectations that everything is not going to be available as shown in the menu and there will be less disappointment.

Staff were helpful and really responsive. Airport transfers could be arranged through the front desk.

Room was a strange shape but functional and well cleaned every day. Shower was warm with adequate pressure. The wifi in our room was terrible - they did the usual turn off/on but it never improved - in other parts of the hotel it seemed good.

Breakfast (included for free with the room) was good - see menu in pics (pls note that they no longer offer a buffet breakfast).

We used the Spa for a 1 hr couples massage and it was excellent. It was booked through the front desk.

Downstairs was also a cafe area that had Illy Coffee, ice cream and macaroons.

Overall, a really good stay. Thanks XYZ Hotel.

We love the XYZ, we stay there every time we visit Tacloban. Also a special shout-out to the staff in Q-kitchen, especially Stephen, Duffy, and Ceenil, for making us feel like family. They even reserved a booth for us when our usual breakfast table was occupied. Just little things like that : )

I had a nice stay at this hotel.
It was like being in a cruise, you have everything in the same building, 3 x restaurants, including the cocktail bar with live entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays.
The swimming pool wasn't that impressive, though it was quite small, but it was good enough for someone like me, I'm not a very tall guy, so I managed to swim a few laps in that small rectangular swimming pool. It's better than no swimming pool at all.
The Hotel is situated in the Central Business District, so everything is either walking distance or a tricycle ride away.
I will stay there again.

Close to SM mall, wet market, and local food.

Hotel XYZ is by far the best hotel we have visited during our stay in Tacloban. The staff is extremely service minded, kind and very professional. The food both breakfast lunch and dinner is very good and very cheap seen from a European perspective.
I can highly recommend Hotel XYZ to anyone visiting Tacloban.

A great room layout is a big factor. Neat and clean rooms is must. Hotel XYZ got it! Friendly staff, good food and coffee, what more can you ask for if you are having a business trip. But if you are planning of bringing in your family or friends for a vacation, you can put them in your list of accommodation.

The food is good! Tasty and well mixed. The music is pleasant to the ears because it was not loud. The drawback, though, is parking. I hope they can provide a space soon.

Pleasant stay as usual. Been here many times and just like the friendly staff and location. Yes, things can go wrong but staff always strive to sort it out with a smile.
Special thanks to Steph and colleagues from the Bar at the pool who was our waitress. Great service and we enjoyed it. Surely we will be back.

Outstanding all around experience. Definitely 6 stars in EVERY category.

Checked in here with my friends for a short staycation. We booked a loft room to accommodate all of us in one place. We were eyeing the pool for a nugh swimming and lucky we were the only guests around so we had the pool all to ourselves.

We had a great stay sadly for just 1 night. Booked with sort notice the same morning, all the staff where very welcoming, friendly and helpful our room was very clean and tidy with everything we needed spacious bed very comfortable, very modern throughout the hotel. We ate in that night in the rooftop restaurant the food was excellent the price equally as good. Breakfast on the ground floor was very good. We would highly recommend this hotel in the centre of downtown Tacloban

The family room which can accommodate 5 people was a big surprise. All the beds (2 beds. 1 in the main room & 1 at the loft) were quite big. The linens and pillows were clean. So happy to have two pillows per person.
The Q kitchen served delicious Asian cuisine. My bistik Tagalog breakfast was yummy.🥰

Overall we were quite pleased with the facility, accommodations and service of XYZ! Quite memorable was the service in the Japanese restaurant Xake. The waiters Kenneth, Shenn and Efren were great at being very attentive, professional and friendly.

Quite impressed with the entire set up of the hotel.

Definitely will go back if in Tacloban again!!!

We had a pleasant stay in this hotel. It's located in the downtown area so it's easily accessible.
Rooms were clean and complete with amenities, etc.
You can also go to the rooftop where you can have a nice view of Tacloban City 🙂
They have different restaurants to choose from e.g. Fyzz, QKitchen, Xake & Abcd cafe.
One odd thing for me though was that check in is at 3/4pm, as compared to the usual 2pm check in of other hotels 🤷🏻‍♂
We enjoyed the food from Q Kitchen & the complimentary breakfast tho 😋👌

Stayed here for 2 nights and booked our room through Agoda. Staffs were very hospitable and catered our needs very well. Their breakfast starts at 6:00-9:45 am though not buffet style, their offerings on their menu should suffice. Their room were very good—well lit, air con worked in good condition, wifi speed is fast. There are instant coffee, tea, and a bottle of water available and also soap, shampoo, lotion, shaver, toothbrush with toothpaste in the comfort room. Though we could have wished for a hair blower, for the price our experience is worth it and I recommend going back to this place.
