Ironwood Hotel

Great little hotel in downtown Tacloban. We stayed in the suite, which was very spacious- my only quibble might have been that the tv reception was fuzzy, but we weren't there for that. Very helpful staff, and the Leaf Lounge on the fifth floor has a nice terrace to eat from the extensive Thai menu. The breakfast came with the room, and the 6am start was very welcome, since we had to leave around 7.

I have an issue with my first room because the a/c was leaking but eventually they upgraded me to a comfortable room.
Tha food was nice too!

This has to be by far the best hotel in Tacloban. We booked for a surprise party and the staff and personnel were very accommodating and even asked us what we needed. When you call the front desk for concerns, they would immediately send someone to your room without delay. I repeat “without delay”. Rooms were spacious, clean and very well kept. The restaurants, especially Fire grass had amazing food. A bit on the pricey side but worth every penny. If you want a comfortable stay without inconvenience this would be the perfect place as it is located somewhere in downtown tacloban. I don’t write reviews often but this place totally deserves it.

We had dinner at one of their restaurants - Firegrass Tavern - located at their ground floor.
The food was great.
We ordered the Beef Stroganoff, Baby Back Ribs & Chicken Alfredo.

We had a reservation but the place was full even on a Tuesday night.
Nice ambiance and service as well.
Will definitely try other food on their menu next time 😊

Very nice hotel. A little over priced compared to other hotels in the area, but the bed was nice. Food choice was excellent. Not really too much to say about it.
Shower was hot, hygiene products provided.
For the price the rooms are what you would expect.
There was some type of event that had most hotels in the area booked, Ironwood had only the executive room available for 6000 and yeah it was honestly over priced but it was a large space so I guess it was for that otherwise a price for 3500 to 4500 would have been reasonable.

This is the best hotel in Tacloban, a lifesaver when you just want to relax. The only issue is that the WiFi signal is weak.

AMAZING place to stay and exceptionally good value. Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious and very clean rooms and a warm and inviting ambience. The food is unbelievably good and well priced.

It is a wonderful hotel,you can experience the good quality service.

We stayed at the executive suite. Noise was non-existent and the food was delicious. The WiFi signal was also pretty strong in all areas of the hotel except in our suite's living room lounge. I have no complaints aside from the cold shower. I'd still give this a rating of 5 stars.

What a perfect place to stay. The interior design is so relaxing.

It has excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Overall, it seems to be a good choice for travelers visiting Tacloban Leyte.

Awesome service with good amenities to boot. Was picked up at the airport as requested. Driver met me at the arrivals area and helped me with my luggage. The driver handed me ice cold water before hurrying over to drive.

Check in was smooth. Was surprised they served me with the ice cold cucumber juice and cookies while reception was busy checking me in. I was handed with 2 device password for the Wi-Fi.

Room was huge with interior that suit my taste. Bed was King sized and have nice plump 4 pillows. Bedding was all white, crisp and smooth. There is a nice pine and eucalyptus scent on the sheets and towels.

Bathroom has separated with glass partition with rain shower and hot and cold water. I took several showers during the day. Water pressure was good and strong.

There are 2 restaurants in this hotel including a terrace with the view of the bay and the street of Burgos.

Service wise, the staff went beyond my expectation. They even prepared ham and cheese sandwich because of my early flight out of Tacloban.

We visited our relatives and friends in Tacloban, Dulag and Mayorga. We stayed in Ironwood Hotel from March 27 - 29, 2022. This hotel is at par with international boutique hotels we have stayed in Europe (Prague, Budapest, Brussels, among others): nice, clean, superb service, excellent food and wine, very good amenities (soft bath towels, comfy and soft beddings). Congratulations to the owner and management of Ironwood Hotel.

Great room, great shower, lighting is excellent. Wait till you eat at the restaurant and cafe. Lots of excellent cakes and sweets. That smoked fish with capers is to die for. Everything was very tasty

I have been travelling to the Philippines and to Tacloban for quite sometime since after Haiyan. So many hotels just popped up after the recovery of Tacloban. So far Ironwood Hotel is the best hotel in the city. Very friendly hotel staff, accommodating and the security good. Food is topnotch. Price is affordable!. I will definitely stay here again and recommend Ironwood Hotel to my friends.

Great hotel, there are canned drinks in the fridge, snacks, chocolate, electric kettle to make coffee or tea, soap towels, ac works great, rooms are very clean, absolutely no crawling bugs, the restaurant gets ***** 5 stars, food is delicious, as soon as I drink my water seconds later the glass is promptly refilled no need to ask, a call to the desk is taken care of promptly, the best is the hotel staff, very professional courteous and friendly always have your comfort and hotel stay a top priority, Lakewood has everything you need which I give it ***** 5 stars, thanks for the great customer service, it was greatly appreciated. The staff are so friendly and helpful! And the hotel's rooms, though small, are clean and comfortable! They even provide you with a welcome cookie and juice! 😍

Staff is incredibly friendly, restaurant has excellent food at reasonable prices. WIFI is excellent. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
