Monte Alto Eco Resort Villas

We spend five nights at monte alto, they took us warmfully there. Staff was awesome, they helped us about everything. They were worried when we were sick. We felt so safe around here. Place was truly beautiful and peacefull. Nature is so close and you can hear all the animal voices. Restaurant la vistas food was very good. We are very thankfull that we could enjoy our days in here!

Despite the long distance from Southern Leyte to Villaba Leyte, we’ve chosen and held our wedding reception at ‘Monte Alto’ and it was indeed very successful.

Though the place isn’t really suited for seniors, my older guests still enjoyed the very unique and Bali-inspired space of Monte Alto.

Accessibility from Ormoc City:

• The place is just an hour or less away from the City of Ormoc, it’s located at Villaba Leyte. The town is quite serene and has its own Local Wet Market, Commercial outlets and many more. Monte Alto is about 4min drive away from the main town.

Accommodation:

• Monte Alto has about seven (7) types of rooms, with different capacities. Each room is designed very uniquely and I hope you’ll not be surprised with the type of open and spacious bathrooms they have — you will totally be surrounded or part of nature while bathing! Price-wise is a little higher though, but still worth it if you’re up to a unique getaway.

Food & drinks:

• They mostly offer western food and indeed very delightful. The chef behind the kitchen is commendable as well as the servers. The prices are also just reasonable as the serving size is quite considerable.

Amenities:

• Restaurant (La Vista)
• Main/common pool (beside La Vista)
• Indoor pools are available at one of their Family Villas and Private Villas.
• Events Space

Staff & Service:

• I personally commend ‘Ate Emz’ who’s very patient and totally knows how to handle guests. The other staff were also very friendly and seemed diligent.

Suggestions:

• Might need to hire more people for Housekeeping.
• Front Office needs some improvement, perhaps a proper and more aesthetic desk.
• Should add complimentary slippers.
• Considering the room rates, I suggest to improve the complimentary breakfast menu.
• Also proper trash bins inside the bedrooms? We’ve noticed most if not all of the rooms only have bins at the bathrooms.

Still, all in all, a great experience.

Giving 5-Stars because it’s the only mini Bali-inspired resort seen in Leyte, Philippines. 🇵🇭Also because of the founders’ courage & intuition in pursuing the establishment of such place in the middle of a hill. 🚀

Everything is very good from the rooms service and location but when I get there there's a heavy rain😩

Highly Recommended Resort for Nature lover. Peaceful place with fresh air. Friendly staffs and tasty foods❤
