Keenjhar Lake

It is the largest lake of Pakistan. Very beautiful and magical view. Its temperature is very cold even in summer. Natural sweet mineral water. Every Tourist must visit.

It is worth visiting, not only the picnic point, it is widely spreads around the whole Jhimpir to Thattha city.♥

Good place for picnic and spent the time on lake on summer season. If you avoid the rush then please go on saturday otherwise massive crowd are here on sunday.

OMG.. !!! Kenjher Jheel or Kala Pahar. What a place and enjoyment specially tube swimmibg is marvelous. Elders' Tubes can be taken on rent but kids tubes are not available. TKe it with you. Very sharp stony bank of the jheel. Must wear joggers or hard soul shoes during waterjoy otherwise you can nit stand for more than a minute there.

Great place to visit, You have to bargain for boating as they will initially quote you higher. However the Noori restaurant is great place to have a tea and the restrooms are also clean

This was my second visit of this lake. This time we select entirely different spot from the public one and it was awesome. It was memorable and worth seeing experience. The spot was very peaceful and pollution level was very low. Although the route is a little bit prolong and difficult but after visiting definitely you would get unforgettable experience. Highly recommended

It's really amazing place for refreshment. Great relief after being around the generally dry and hot area. Located on the road from Karachi to Hyderabad. The wind was refreshing, coming over the water. And nice restaurant with reasonable food is available.

You can enjoy it more here as there is sweet water and no tides compared to the sea.

People should visit this place with family and friends and also alone for fun

The first look of this lake was magnificent. Was blown away by its wastness. Amazing overall experience of been to this wonderful Lake 👏 Keenjhar Lake, one of the largest in Pakistan, a fresh water lake that supplies water to karachi, is a wonderful place to spend a day. It took 90 mins for us to reach Keenjhar from karachi. The roads are excellent and getting there is no problem.
One can do boat ride there, but nothing more.
Hopefully to see migratory birds there in winter, which is when I plan to visit again.

Very big Lake you should have atleast 1 whole day to spend here to enjoy it fully

I loved Keenjhar Lake but the people there have halfway destroyed it .

Beautiful place for the outing, as well as it's largest drinking water resource storage for Karachi which is supplied by channel.. water it's stored here from Indus River.
Tourism department should develop proper waste management here because waste is deteriorating beauty of keenjher.

Keenjhar Lake commonly called Kalri Lake is in Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. It is 122 km from Karachi and 18 km from the town of Thatta. It is the second largest fresh water lake in Pakistan. It is an important source of drinking water for Thatta District and Karachi city. Keenjhar Lake is a popular tourist resort. A large number of people visit it daily from Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta to enjoy picnic, swimming, fishing, and boating.

The Sindhi legend of Noori Jam Tamachi took place around the lake. To this day there is a shrine in the middle of the lake marking Noori's grave. Every day hundreds of devotees visit the shrine.

What a great place to enjoy with freinds. I won't recommend this place for families as this is usually a very crowded place. Please also wear shoes while enjoying in water and must take a boat ride of the lake. A very peaceful place to spend time.
