I went Thier on Picanto, take left from National Highway 55 at point SUN, but after that 30KM road is terrible, they are constructed the road but it might take a year or so, but you can still reach the destination, 30 KM drive might 1hour and 15 minutes.
Govt. NEED to provide more facilities to make it a tourist destination
But people who love archilogical sites must visit, only people who love archilogical sites will enjoy the journey other wise its frustrated.
I still wonder how people made this wall 100+years ago in such a remote location.

Finally visited this place with family today . No problem on the highway, but the road from Sann to Fort was either under construction or damaged. What an amazing place! It could have become an international tourist destination, but unfortunately, this place is not even known to people of Pakistan. It seems like the government has not paid any attention to this place in the past many decades. Highly recommended, you can come by cars till the eastern walls, but if you want to go to Mirikot or further, I will advise coming by SUV.

Ranikot Fort is the largest fort in the world, also called the ‘Great Wall of Sindh.’ It is a magnificent piece of architecture located near Jamshoro, Sindh.
Though difficult to access due to poor development in the region, Ranikot Fort is still a must-see piece of Pakistani beauty if you are visiting Sindh. Search for local guides to aid you.
The fort stands in the middle of nowhere, defending nothing. Though the purpose of the fort has never been clear to the archaeologists, it is a symbol of pride for the people of Sindh. It stood the test of time and has been standing for almost two centuries.

40km area of the world greatest fort. It is beautiful, but it can become more exotic if government pit it's attention and make it visitor's magnet place.
I love history and land marks. This place is beautiful.

It's such an incredible sight to see. Driving in you see the rocky, sandy, hilly, desert landscape. And suddenly if you squint enough you see a small portion of this massive fort endlessly snaking over the hills.
There is now a decent restaurant and some utilities within the fort as well to support tourists. However, the signs and information is poor. The tour guides don't know a lot about the area. The renovations on some parts of the fixtures are done without considering aesthetics. There is no formal ticketing area to then trigger reinvestment or collection of funds for preservation. Sindh is really behind on its tourism management compared to KP and Punjab. That part is extremely disappointing to see.
More people need to see this place to increase demand and press for investment into this incredible construct.

Worlds largest fort and it still has its walls standing. Very well preserved if compared with other forts of Pakistan. Has a small pond nearby Pariyon jo Thal. Guides can help with the history of the place. There is another fort on the mountain which we can see but would have a lot of effort to reach there. Minimal facilities available here but still a must visit place for travel and history enthusiasts

Highly recommended, one of the most epic places in Pakistan. Its so majestic that other forts just fade in comparison. A day trip from Karachi will do because it is hardly 4 hours from the Karachi toll plaza. The road leading to the fort is not in the best of conditions but still doable for normal cars/bikes.

A place where you can see the historical place in Sindh. Must visit to see that what story tells history about the Ranikot. Historical place many rumors but not found an accurate history about it. They made 3 rooms inside the Ranikot not much facilities but you can stay 1 night. Winter is better to visit. There is a Hotel and Guest House outside the Ranikot is in process.

Ranikot Fort also known as ‘The Great wall of Sindh’ is believed to be the world’s largest fort. But who constructed it and for what motive? It's still a question in millions of minds. Ranikot Fort is easily vulnerable from Karachi through the National Highway. After departing from Karachi and passing Hyderabad Bypass, head to Dadu through on the Indus Highway. The road is in excellent condition. From Hyderabad, it's about 2 hours journey to Ranikot fort through Manjhand & San city.
We reached Ranikot around 5 pm, but the weather was still warm. But it's better than a hotter afternoon.
The mesmerizing view of the great wall of Sindh amazed us how this 32 kilometers long man-made wall was built in an era when we can't think about the heavy machines and technology we have now.
We tried to climb over the wall for some hundreds of meters but were tired because of the broken tracks.
Overall it was an unforgettable experience to visit the place we heard about from our childhood. Unfortunately, There is no Accessible way or track for the people who use wheelchairs to experience the fort or the great wall of Sindh from Upper side.

Also known as the Great Wall of Sindh, this fort is believed to be the largest in the world with a circumference of 32kms. Great place for a day trip and camping. Although, I wish people were not vandalising this thousands of years old archeological site. Sindh Archeological Department is doing a great job with this site; I hope people will be equally responsible and not litter and vandalise the walls and understand the importance of this ages old fort. SAD also has its history so it's really not an unknown fort in the middle of no where.

Due to high temperatures in this area, It is not recommended to visit this place in summer. Since there r many inclined places. Also hiking towards pariyoun jo Thar is little bit difficult. However you can enjoy in winter.
- Air-conditioned rooms with all modern amenities are available by STDC. So families can easily stay there.
- Canteen available with limited stuff near Merikot fort.
- Patrol available at the shop near by pariyoun jo thal.
