Tanda dam or Tanda lake is a small dam.
And also a lake view park located in kohat district of khyber pakhtunkhwa the province of pakistan.
The dam supplies water for irrigation to jurma, shahpur and many villages by means of canals from tanda lake.
Designated: 23 july 1976
Tanda dam or Tanda lake is a protected site under the Ramsar convention an international treaty for the conservation and sustainable utilization of wet lands.
It was include as a ramsar site on july 23, 1976.
The lake is home to migratory birds from siberia and the caspain during winter.
Tanda dam or Tanda Lake has 1730 ft height from the sea level.
Tanda dam or Tanda lake can store 78,400 acre ft of water.
Maximum depth of 100ft

its a nice visiting and fishing point you can enjoy the boat ride in the cold water ..swiming is not allowed becuase its water is heavy and attract the body to the depth , a lot of accidents happend here ,, so please dont try to swim here .. its a humble request .

Tnda lake is a picnicking spot. In the way to kohat from Tanda lake there was Durani Princes thomb.

Tanda Dam Kohat, is one of the best place to visit in Kohat. nice place. on the way from Kohat city you can see the "Durrani Qabristan", a historical graveyard where some princes of Durrani Empire are buried.
