Very different from a typical zoo. It hosts an array of rare species like the Malaysian Sun bear. Its not super big and can be easily covered in 3-4 hours which is perfect for the kids. The best thing is that all the feeding times are mentioned with each animal enclave and its an extraordinary experience. The elephants enclave has pool and seeing an elephant swim is very surreal. Highly recommended. Please keep in mind that visiting on a weekday will yield a much better experience.

A must-see place when you visit Łódź. Only 3-4 similar places in Poland. The zoo is divided into two zones: the older one is recommended to see when it is warm outside and a new one - big modern building with exotic animals.
You can leave your luggage and jacket in a locker (coins required) or use a cloak room. There's a separate zone with snacks and bars; also, a shop with souvenirs. Unfortunately the price for the ticket is too high. If you want to use a parking place, you also have to pay.

Really a nice place. You have options to view the animals indoor and outdoor. Clean and there's a restaurant inside the zoo, food they served are also tasty and affordable. Worth visiting.

I was there on the second day of Christmas. So it wasn't crowded at all, but all regular attractions were accessible.
5 hours is enough to visit all attractions and read interesting facts about animals.
The informations are well prepared, easy to understand and there are options to get even more knowledge if someone wants to.
One of the best zoo's I have ever been to.
The price for regular tickets is 70pln and the price is totally worth it.
I especially recommend getting there by car (many parking spaces) and bring friends or family.

Amazing and very modern Zoo in Poland with plenty of worldwide Animals. Great infrastructure, tasty restaurants (Pora Karmienia and others), very well arranged and very kind staff. Recommending for families with kids.

Amazing place! Definitely an upgrade to what was there a few years ago. A lot of more animals and the new Orientarium definitely livened up the place. A bit on the expensive side, but with the attractions there, I was happy to pay!

Cool place to visit with Family. It's not that big so you won't spend the whole day in here running from one place to another, rather chill walking around, a few hours to see all it's enough.

It's really the best Zoo in Poland currentlly, "Orientarium" complex is designed in modern and smart way, very large, can take up to 2-3 hours. Some of older buildings require renovation but the Zoo is still investing. Food court is also very modern and gives lot of variaties of flavours.

Really nice Zoo with many many many animals to see. Good price as it was 70zł. Place so big that it took us over 3 hours to walk around and see all of the rooms, places inside. Nice descriptions of species. Nice atmosphere and we had a good weather which was a massive plus. Lot of trips with kids so if you don’t like it it’s better to go during weekend time. For me I like to visit zoo’s once each few years. Not a fun of animals in cages, though I know that that’s why there are as well not so many zoos around the world, just in the biggest cities. Really good place to go if you live nearby in radius 150km 😃

It's a nice zoo. The highlight is definitely the orientarium. More signs with animal locations would have been nice.

The whole family loved it, especially the elephants, giraffes and kangaroos. The peacocks walk freely on the sidewalk.

Finally I can say that I have been to the best ZOO in Poland. The animals looked great even if they were in cages, but I was missing the tigers. The kids had lots of places to play, and the weather was great, so we got ice cream. The underwater viewing tunnel provides a great place for photos, videos, and even social media fans. The only downside was that we had to park at the pool (11 min walk) which is a nice walk on a good day but I would not like it during the winter.

I experienced Łódź zoo as part of a group attending an academic conference in the city. The zoo keepers/staff are very friendly, have crystal clear English, encouraged questions and it was clear they love all the animals. The conference dinner in the aquarium was a real treat and I would recommend visiting if you’re in Łódź!

Looks not so huge, but has all popular anymals, also elephants. Not very wide lines of types. Nice aqarium. In the middle is entertaiment park for kids with ice creams and cofees for parents. The best option to buy tickets in self-terminal on the left to Kasa, then no need to wait.

One of the best-organized zoos I've visited so far. The terrain for elephants is vast, and they seem to enjoy being here - they play together almost all the time. I wish the orangutans were more hidden; they are too exposed.

So crowded at weekend. But this is the great place to spend time with children. Except animals there is many playgrounds for children.

I think this ZOO should be a must visit for everyone. We spent three whole day and that wasn’t enough! Lots of animals, info boards with facts, possibility to view feeding (elephants baths are also 2x per day). Many places to eat and relax… and of course a crème de la crème- ORIENTARIUM. Amazing exhibition of oriental animals, huge crocodile and of course sharks. Aquarium is amazing and can be an important stop for someone who needs a dark place with top notch view.

PARKING situation is complicated. We came on Sunday and police was redirecting to the nearby ARENA STADIUM parking (20 pln per whole stay). ZOO is easily reachable from that parking (10 min walk through park).

TICKETS can be bought online, at typical cash registers AND via machines! Lots of attractions for children- worth taking a wooden trolley (renting offers)
