Babia Góra

Amazing mountain peak!
It was easy-moderate hiking. I started from Markowa with Green trail and later followed Red trail to the top. Mostly inside of the forest. Top was very windy and frozen, there was snow as well. Definetely you need to wear properely and don't forget gloves as well. Because of the weather, at the top, the view wasnt clear but still it was worth to go and see Babia Gora!

On my way back I followed Red trail to Syhlec and I saw amazing views.

We were here in the summer. The journey started at night to meet this incredible sunrise. 😍

The blue trail is pedestrian and beautiful, with a grade anyone in decent shape can manage.

The yellow trail was challenging, especially for this climbing novice, but doable with a decent level of strength and fitness.

The red trail down is rather steep with rough stone path. Challenging after the demanding climb.

Altogether a pretty amazing experience.

Great place with few options of nice trails. Fresh air, beauty of nature and landscapes. During the day when the weather is good the trails are full of people. Often very windy on the top of the mountain. Defenitely place worth to explore.

It's interesting how some reviewers mention that it's really hard to get to the top. The opinion is very subjective, if you've climbed other similar peaks (Śnieżnik, Śnieżka, etc), this one is, in my view, quite easy (I took the red trail on the way up and red and blue on the way down). Once you reach the top, it might be super windy, but the views make up for everything :)

Beautiful hikes to Babia Gora. Three mainroutes to get there, so it's surely worth going twice for hike to this mountain with it's beautiful views.

The second largest peak in Poland (outside the Tatras). Often seen from Krakow, where it creates a wonderful picture, especially covered with snow. Here is a view from the Western Tatras.

I recommend. It's a great mountain to climb. Exposure, views, quality of the trail... Everything. All you need is comfortable shoes and off you go 😁

For second time I really enjoyed hiking Babia Hora, this 1725m high peak on the Slovakia-Poland border-line. Starting at Hostinec Babia Hora in Oravska Polhora I need a little less then four hours od easy walking to rich the top.

One of my favourite mountains! I was there both in autumn and winter and the views are astounding! It is not as hard to climb as it looks like if you take red trail from Krowiarki. Highly recommended ❤

Pretty hard to climb on it when you're beginner, , but view from the peak is good.
