The Blue Springs (Niebieskie Źródła) nature reserve in Tomaszów Mazowiecki, central Poland is a unique place known for its outstanding natural beauty. The carstic springs occurred naturally as a result of geological processes involving water coming from underground and bubbling forth to the surface through layers of limestone and other sedimentary materials dating back to jurassic period. The reserve derives its name from the unusual colour of the water. Spring water absorbs red waves, hence the light, reflected from the bottom, has intense blue-green colour. It also depnds on time of the day and the altitude of the sun. The Blue Springs are home to hundreds of spieces of birds and other small species of animals. This is a place of unusual peace and serenity. I really loved it and would recommend everyone to come and see it for themesleves. You will not be disappointed.

Very beautiful place although I would recommend u to check the forecast before coming here as the water is much prettier on a sunny day and can be fogged after rain

Always a great idea to visit the place no matter if it is a morning wake-up walk or an afternoon stroll. Water color is always amazing irrespective of the season and ducks will always welcome you by the entrance - at foggy times it looks like Louisiana swamps.

I've been there twice, every time water colours made me think how wonderful nature is. It is great place to have a walk and admire nature, especially that there are not many people over there.

Beautiful and atmospheric place full of wild birds. Definitely worth visiting. I suggest bringing a mosquito repellent though.

A nice little nature reserve with some very interesting springs. The entire park can be leisurely strolled in an hours time.

Amazing place. An atmosphere of the museum allows you to plunge to those old far time.
