Zalipie Village, Local Master's House

Zalipie is Polands Painted village. There is a small museum, a drive/walk through the village where you can observe the gorgeous painted houses, barns, wells, bee hives etc. I especially enjoyed the museum where there are three buildings you can visit and have the history explained to you about the ladies of the village and why they began to paint the houses and how the tradition is kept alive today. The lady who did the tour at the museum kindly spoke a little bit English as well as Polish so we got to understand a little bit more about the tradition. You can also visit the church in Zalipie which has also been ‘painted’ with the flowers of the village. It was all the more special because we visited in late September and it was still warm and sunny. I loved it and I’m totally inspired with Folk Art.

We made a side trip here off the A4 and it was well, well worth the trip. Wow. Amazing artists there. If you walk the route from the map the city civic center hands out, you may be lucky enough for a resident to invite you in!

A nice, traditionally painted and decorated place with a lovely artist who explains a bit of history to you.

Beautiful place. Not touristic at all. People are very friendly and modest. Beautiful paintings everywhere.

Very cute village in the middle of nowhere:) house #15 is highly recommended!

This was a great day trip from Kraków! It's about 2 hours of touring and photo taking. In May the art house is open but some of the house sell art work.

Lovely little place to stop and watch the painters. Great cup of coffee. We bought a few things.
Be careful of the locals as they will try and charge you for looking at their houses which are set up as shops. We were invited in of the street with no mention of a fee then not let out without paying.

Amazing place, really unique

This a special place as I never saw before. All houses are hand painted traditionally. The local master house is the place where a group of women work painting different pieces. Unique and Amazing place, a must see.

She was very friendly, eager to show off her house, and take pictures with us. She had is put on her costumes when taking the pictures. Go to this house if you don't want the crowds.

You need to be there if you’re somewhere near Busko-Zdrój.

Cóż to za wspaniałe kolorowe miejsce, wieś w której domy są ozdabiane ręcznie i to w dwudziestym pierwszym wieku. Niewiarygodne. Jestem pełna podziwu dla umiejętności ości tych osób. I wspaniały sposób na przyciągnięcie turystów w te okolicę. Warto zjechać z trasy. We wsi Domek malarek, takie centrum kultury. Można tam zakupić w dane ornamenty pamiątki, wypić kawę zjeść domowe ciasto. Albo po prostu odpocząć w kolorowych okolicznościach. Zachęcam.

Wizyta we wsi Zalipie to prawdziwa uczta dla oczu! Zachwycające, ręcznie malowane kwiatowe motywy sprawiają, że to miejsce jest jak z bajki. Absolutnie polecam każdemu, kto ceni sobie unikalne atrakcje i tradycję.

Un lugar en Polonia que merece la pena. Pero pienso que está mal organizado: Pagas la entrada y tienes una hora exacta para ver las tres casas que conforman el museo. Si no vas en la visita prevista los guías no ponen buenas caras. Por otro lado, echo en falta que haya explicaciones acerca de la historia del lugar y de las pinturas. Los guías sólo abren la puerta de las casas y dejan hacer fotos pero no existe ninguna explicación didáctica

Malownicza i spokojna wieś, w której naprawdę można sie zrelaksować i podziwiać dzieła pracy ludzkich rąk

Fajne miejsce. W 21 wieku nie do uwierzenia,że można żyć tak kolorowo na co dzień.
Nawet zwierzaki mają tu swoje pomalowane domy. Trochę dużo chodzenia,no ale wieś duża .
Mieszkańcy żyją trochę jak w skansenie 😊
