Zagroda Felicji Curyłowej w Zalipiu, Filia Muzeum Etnograficznego w Tarnowie

I have been wanting to visit the “I’ll fall asleep” village for years and it was worth the wait. It is a quiet day and perfect weather. Very few people are here. Peacefully surrounded by homes of painted flowers and real flowers. The tour guide kindly spoke to us in English.
Across the street we bought a yummy waffle from a nice guy. Pure joy!

Beautiful and well organized. We drove up on Sunday at about 1pm in late November. The buildings was so lovely covered in snow...The tour guide answered all of our questions. They had a nice little kiosk shop with hand painted tea sets and books. Highly recommended.

A very beautiful small village somewhere near Krakow. Around 80km towards East.
Amazed by the wall paintings and the stories behind them are even more amazing!! Worth spending few hours in the small village and get closer to the nature. Please do not touch/step over the art

A very unique tradition and artistic expression of local community going back to early 1900'. What is special about the style and expression is the continuation from one generation to the next.

I love travelling throughout Poland, and recently l discovered this village and its beautiful painted houses. The musuem within the village was small, but the building both inside/outside were very impressive with its artwork. Getting here was a bit of a probelm, there was no direct buses/or mini buses available. I found a taxi driver who take me there and back for 250zl. I would highly recomend visting here.

Zalipie , called as painted village . It is close to Krakow .
Beautiful village , where almost each and every house is painted beautifully . Must visit place if you plan a holiday in Poland/Krakow .

It's a really cool little getaway to check out a quaint Polish village and take pleasure in a cherished tradition. Felicia was a visionary who used her art as a great way to bring joy and happiness to her home. Her art is being displayed and carried on to this day.
