This was a history trip for me. Its hard to know what to say about it. It was raining and windy and I suppose that Just added to the atmosphere. I guess the best I can say is that it was well preserved and possibly a place everybody should visit. If you do go just please be respectful. I went as a tour group but hope to revist alone. The tour guides did a fantastic job but I found the real feel for the place came when I stayed back in a room or place alone. I want to say more but everything I could say feels slightly cheap. I'm glad I went.

Overwhelming experience but very glad we did it. Spent 4 hours between 2 camps. Everything was very well organised, our tour guide Anna was amazing, enjoyed listening to her talking wit so much passion and empathy which made this experience even more sensible with personal touch. Worth of visiting while in Poland

A must see for those who wish to witness some of the saddest history in the world and understand the how and why of it taking place. Strongly encourage everyone to visit if they can. Wear good walking shoes. If you go in winter, be prepared to walk through a significant amount of snow.

Of course Google's "Loved it" is completely inappropriate here, but it's an extremely poignant and important museum and memorial. Every person from every country needs to visit this once in their lifetime to understand that this should never happen again.

Such a nice but sad visit to this place
The place is quite far from the city, so I think it would be best to book a guided tour to organize things better for you.
We will visit 2 camps, they are around 5 mind away from each other
Some rooms are not allowed to take pictures to show respect to the victim
Recommend this place and maybe prepare a bit the background knowledge to fully absorb things

The Memorial and Museum was packed with people, however it's very well organized and runs like clockwork so you won't feel the crowd.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered any question that was presented to her in depth.

Definitely a must see. There is a lot of walking outdoors to get to the different buildings so make sure you wear comfy shoes and dress for the weather. The signs are in English and polish but you can get an audio guide for many different languages. Book in advance to avoid waiting times as it can get very busy. I wouldn't recommend to take kids under 16 years old

Buy tickets in advance! After spending 1.5h+ in line, they run out of tickets.
This is not a beautiful place to visit. It's disturbing.... Excelent group coordination. Take advice that you'll be staying for at least 4-5 hours, so plan well your trip

An experience I shall never forget, extremely thought-provoking. The tour guide explained how the toilet facilities could only be used morning and evening. There was no privacy at all being in rows. Sleeping arrangements were 10 per bunk bed.
The conditions were appalling.
We saw the railway carriage that brought the prisoners in, and its just dreadful to think they were marched straight to the gas chamber with only a stop to strip and have possessions taking from them.
This is a tourist attraction like no other, a stark reminder, and somewhere I feel we should all visit ♥

Celebrated my birthday by taking a tour of both memorials and I'm so glad I did. The atrocities faced at these two sites were horrendous but the preservation of the areas honor the many brave individuals that were lost and lived through it. It was a very emotional trip trip, but I loved every part.

Worth the visit, it was so sad what happened here. The tour guide jack was very passionate about his role and was full of knowledge.

Weird to give this place 5 stars but it's truly worth a visit. Its a shocking and moving day that stays with you long after you leave. 😢

A very sobering experience, no one spoke on the tour as we listened to the guide explain how the two camps came to be and operated. Pure evil. Pictures just to help you decide to visit, which you should if you can.

Try to go early, don't stay until dusk. I joined the tour at 2 pm. It was dark at the last moment.

A dark place of history. Is not just a museum, is the biggest grave yard in the world, even if you dont see the tombstones. You have to go there whit an open heart and you will leave whit a heavy soul.

Very hard to describe this place...but worth visiting. There is a lot of walking and not suitable if you are not able to manage stairs due to terrain and going up and down the various displays in the old barrack buildings. Visited on a hot August day and it was very crowded. Museum had out standing fans in many rooms as very hot inside. Would recommend buying tickets in advance.

Although very harrowing and emotional, the tour guide was very passionate about ensuring we understood the harrowing conditions the people lived /died in . It's not for the faint-hearted, and it's a must to keep the messages alive. Peace needs to be found in all wars

I visited with a tour provided by 'Hello Cracow'. They communicated well and our chaperone, Michael was excellent in getting us to the right place at the right time. He provided a packed lunch which was ample for the day.
The tour was done by a guide from the camp who was very knowledgable. The tours however involve a lot of walking and at quite a pace due to the number of visitors. Because of this, I feel the impact of what happened here was reduced, which is a pity as I think everyone should visit. A little more time for reflection would be good.

You cannot come to this part of the world and not spend your time visiting this place. Sobbering and yes sickening at times but certainly a window on a time we must never ever repeat. Sadly, I would recommend to all - young and old.
