La Lucy

Walking off the beaten track, through the housing projects of Warsaw, I came upon Kawiarnia La Lucy and decided to have a spot of lunch.

Located in the Mirow part of Warsaw, this is a nice little independent coffee shop offering a lunch trade to the towering skyscrapers that have appeared around it.

Warmly welcomed in, and with google translate at hand, I could see they had a set lunch menu for PLN35.00 (converts to just over £6).

Today was a delightful soup of the day, called Jarczynowa it mainly consists of carrot, cauliflower, and onion. Followed up by a home made Pasta Carbonara and accompanied by apple juice, this was a very satisfying refuel for just a couple of pounds more than a Tesco meal deal.

Very good coffee, it's not as good as in some cafes in Cracow, but it's still much above average. If you happen to be passing by, I highly recommend a visit :)

Just delicious food, good portions and the best coffee I've ever tasted in Warsaw. Get here early for breakfast or there might be a queue. It's worth the wait though!

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine for an amazing breakfast. I must say that the breakfast (usually involving an egg) was always really tasty. I have also tried one of the savoury pancakes and not only was the portion large, it was also very tasty. Definitely will come by again and highly recommend at least giving it a try.
At times, it may get really busy so you may need to wait longer for table and/or being served but it's worth it.

Perfect Sunday easy brunch. I had a Crepe with peanut butter and my company had scrambled eggs, she didn’t want tomatoes and they kindly replaced it with cucumbers. Sweet from them. Felt very comfortable.

Great place to meet with friends, play some boardgames. Good food and drinks, great games available and collection is always renewed. The service is very good. Boardgames sometimes get mixed up by bad customers but what are you going to do, not the fault if the cafe

First time we went there by chance, following day again cause it was just perfect for breakfast. Nice personnel (Not everyone speaks english but is super friendly and communication works fine 😁), food is delicious, fair pricing, nice ambient.

Really good food, great service. It took 45 min for the food to arrive it was very busy, but the waiter told us from the beginning, so just be ready to wait - we really didn't mind.
The Nutella mascarpone crepe is a must!!!

Excellent food on a Sunday morning. The coffee was absolutely perfect and the spinach tomato blue cheese crepes made our brunch! Not a Warsaw local but would visit again!

I had a nice experience here. The food was ok and the carrot cake was really good. The staff were super nice and attentive, just what you want when eating out. They also have a few vegetarian options and milk alternatives.

So amazing! I loved everything (forget that my name is Lucy!) and Mateusz was so kind and made my visit so chill! The food is of course delicious (sweet + savory crepes as well as breakfast + lunch items), and lunch special was a great deal!

I visited this place for a breakfast. I really can say that it was one of the best breakfast I had. The place is very chilly with interesting arts on walls. Coffee is delicious and enjoyable for coffee lovers. For breakfast, I ordered pancakes with cheese, nutella and nuts. The portion was very large for such an affordable price. And of course it was very delicious and sweet! Definitely I'll come back there for more and I recommend this place!

Super cozy place to enjoy the brunch on Saturday. The food was fresh and coffe was very nice with aeropress. Service is also good.

Delicious breakfasts for vegans and regulars. Great selection of teas, coffees, pancakes, cookies. Good location for small and bigger groups. Lovely service, very client-oriented. Babies and dogs welcome. Board games available.

Wonderful place, wonderful people, wonderful paintings and wonderful sweet crêpes! It was a pleasure to have breakfast here, we're sorry we discovered it only the last two days because we would have tried other crêpes 🤣
