Aldina Restaurant and Bar

I arrived in Cedros at around 2ish and the guest house I was staying at mentioned that Aldina Restaurant closes at 3pm. I hurried quick and got a table. The kitchen was closing so I decided on having the Octopus Salad. It was delicious. I've been in Cedros for several days now and I've eaten at Aldina's everyday for lunch. Everything has been excellent including the service. They have very nice people working there. The other dishes I've tried are the fried whiting fish and the Bacalhau com natas. The food is filling and delicious. I'm so glad this is right up the street from where I am staying. They have a few tables outside that have a view of the sea. They also have a good beverage selection, including zero alcohol beer. Free WiFi is available.

Amazing food. We ordered octopus salad, grilled tuna, chicken/bacon dish and homemade ice cream. Best octopus salad, a must try. The grilled tuna was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful even though it looked plain and dry in the picture. Homemade ice cream was yummy and creamy. Great service too.

Probably the best restaurant on the island. Very nice and family atmosphere. We felt like in home, our children were very warm welcome. Food and service were amazing. After great see food toffee Ice cream where the best. I wish you all the best Aldina and hope to see you one more time!

LOVE this restaurant and bar. The food is amazing!!!! The service outstanding. Meet the owner who regularly pops by your table to say hello. If you want to enjoy a Great meal and stay local then you have to visit this fantastic restaurant in Cedros. My favourite is the chicken skewer, but my husband loves the steak. There is also a supermarket attached that stocks everything you need. Great selection of frozen meat.

I have been eating steaks 🥩 my whole life, 30+ years and the regional steak here is by far the best steak I have ever eaten! Perfectly seasoned and cooked so delicious. I will dream of this meal for decades to come. Also a must try is the homemade ice cream!!! Owner and staff are great and welcoming. The atmosphere is such a vibe! Don’t pass this place without trying something.

Very nice and simple restaurant. The staff is really friendly and quick. The dining room is not that cozy but it's not too bad. The food is very reasonable priced and also delicious. The desserts however (mainly the Cheesecake) are not just delicious. They are unbelievably tasty and better than anything else. I would rate the restaurant 4 stars but because of the dessert I'll give it a solid 5.

Plus it's surprised to find the shop in the middle of what I consider fairly isolated. Surprised at how it expensive it was at the shop. Pictures will come when I download them from my camera

A place I keep going back to, as a resident. Nice restaurant with bar, inside and outside seating and adequate parking. A small supermarket is attached which sells a dazzling variety of wares.

This time I visited with three friends; the atmosphere is bright and airy and the tables are well spaced.

We all decided to get a starter of mussels and bread to share - easily adequate for a starter, giving us 9 or 10 mussels each and half a loaf of bread each for the juices/sauce!

We followed this with the Filet Mignon. This was easily one of the best steaks I have had on the island and melted in the mouth. Served on a bed of braised vegetables with fries, The portion was generous. Be hungry!

This was washed down with a large jug of house red - really, a good quality table wine, and no need to go above that, although the wine list is impressive.

2 hours later and lunch was over as we sat outside with a drink, in the sunshine, but covered seating area (a little sun trap).

I have to say that Aldina's is consistently good. She personally came to check that every thing was to our liking. Service from the waitress was excellent and she explained the menu for those out of our depth with Portuguese. Service time was rapid.

The menu is very varied, but one of my friends suggested the fillet steak as he had tried it before and said it was excellent - he was not wrong! The sweet selection sounded scrumptious, but more than satisfied after the shared started and generous main course.

Give it a month or so and I will be back (again). 5 stars.

Very charming and unexpected. Came upon after visiting Capelinhos volcano and lighthouse. We then decided to drive the entire coast of the Island while heading back to Horta. Friendly and accomodating with our language barrier. Food good also and fair prices.

Food is very good! I had the octopus which was really nice!
