Lovely peaceful park high up on the hill inside the old walls of the castle in Santarem.

The views of the Tejo River are spectacular. Interesting statues honouring the first king of Portugal as well as the fallen soldiers of the First World War.

Children's playground and kiosk/coffee shop available.

Great family friendly historical site and gardens. Great views of the river and countryside. Limited parking. Excellent restaurant in the inside corner near the entrance.

It is a nice park with beautiful views over the river, or just to have a coffee in a quiet place.

Great place to go.
Easy access but, the parking is very small, even for a group of bikers.
The view is amazing, there is a restaurant and a small coffee shop inside.
It's possible to spend a hald day easily in this place.
For sure I'll be back there soon.

From just one place, you can see kilometers of Tagus River and 2 bridges
There are also a lot of history and the monument and some historical pieces are very well cared :)
I do really recommend this place

Lovely park with stunning views of the Tagus River and surrounding land. The park includes a cafe (currently closed due to COVID-19, an aviary, sculptures, and children's play area. Definitely worth a visit.

It's absolutely stunning to watch the river Tagus and the low plains.
Both Roman's and Arabs were right about keeping and defending a strategic place.
