Gelsomino

Honestly, we came here because it is very close to home but we were pleasantly impressed. We visited in a Friday evening.
The place is not very big and the staff is actually the family that owns the business. They are very nice and friendly with all the guests. I’ve seen that majority of guests were regular customers.
A great thing I want to mention is that they were giving customers insect repellent against mosquitoes that are “in season”. Extra points for that!
The food was very good. As appetizers we had pesto bruschetta- very good. I had Gorgonzolla and nuts tagliatelle and my boyfriend gad rustic pizza. All good, the pizza was very “rich” in ingredients.
For desserts we had Tiramisu and Cremsnit in little jars - these were ok at taste but not great.
For drinks the lemonade was good and also the orange juice.
I will for sure come again!

Cosy Italian restaurant with friendly staff and delicious authentic food. The dishes are very tasty and always fresh. During the summer they have a nice outdoors terrace. Highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. An excellent restaurant with high quality and very tasty food. The staff is very friendly , professional and the service is quick. I recommend the Calzone, it was huge and very good. The prices are very reasonable too. I strongly suggest and highly recommend coming to this restaurant for lunch or dinner.

A very interesting restaurant in an unexpected location. The food is good. It really has a mediteranean vibe. The food is very tasty and cooked in an authentic way. There are few parking places, but we were lucky and found something just in front. If you want an unexpected dining experience please give it a try!

Probably the best pizza in Bucharest.

Nice family restaurant. Good food and nice owners. They are open to serve you as good as they can and for sure they will listen to what you want in case that you want something that is not in the menu or small changes to their food (in our case we wanted some mushrooms in our pasta). For sure I recommend and I will come back. I am not aware of something as good as this one in the area!

Great reasonably priced family restaurant

We like very much Gelsomino. It is a nice, cosy, quiet place with good food and an extraordinary service. We appreciate this family business and we recommend the place to our friends, coworkers and relatives.

The food is great same as the service. It feels like the restaurant is a family business and they do care about their customers. I did appreciate that for desert they offered only freshly made crepes and did not had in the menu something that was not prepared by them at the location.

A small Oasis in a big distant neighbourhood. Best meatballs ever

It's a small, family owned, cozy restaurant in a rather boring neighborhood. I really like the ambiance, the decor and the service. But of course, the food is the main dish (right? :P). The food is great, with decent pricing and an equally good selection of wines and beers.

A nice quiet place where you can bring friends and family and have a pleasant meal.

Compare to other places in Bucharest, where the quality of food lets place for improvement, here, one can find a cosy atmosphere, sufficient variety of drinks and beverages.
