This is really a "must see" Temple if you're visiting Ubon. The magnificent gold and white Chedi is modelled on the one at Bodh Gaya, India; the holiest Buddhist site in the world. Inside the Chedi there is another Stupa where people come to show reverence to the Buddha images and "make merit". The Ubosot is also well worth visiting with it's light and airy atmosphere inside. There are four large semi-circular windows on the four sides of the building, but surrounding trees provide shade for the Ubosot and stop overheating. Lovely site well worth visiting.

The temple is located on the outskirts of the town center, not far from the airport, you can easily take a taxi.

The pagoda has a square base and shape like a pyramid. It has enchanting white and gold design. Inside sits the Buddha statue meditating on each of the four corners.

Outside the main grounds is a green and red naga serpent, which adds to the charm of the temple.

This is a must visit and walk around place. Visit the whole grounds as you will be pleasantly surprised.
The main stupa is bright gold and very clean, modern and reflects Isarn temple architecture.
There are large candles and wax sculptures ready for the candle festivals #July. Check for dates each year.

Possibly the most beautiful temple in Thailand. It is also the cleanest and most tidy, and exceptionally well maintained. Sadly many temples and tourist spots in Thailand are dirty with rubbish everywhere. This temple is an absolute exception.

A very nice temple and definitely worth going to visit although a little further away from the city center. It is gorgeous and different from what you ordinarily see in Thailand. It is one of the holiest places in the country. Take your time to enjoy this beautiful temple complex.

This Buddha temple is really a surprise in Ubon Ratchatani. I found this temple on my way to Sisaket. It's just 10 minutes away from the airport. Also the gardens are beautiful. The silence here makes it more exotic. If you want to pray inside the tower is a monk sitting on the floor. Don't forget to pay some thai bath.
