The Dewa Koh Chang

Beautiful hotel, great pool and clean rooms with super nice bathrooms. The beach area is clean and the hotel has the best location at this beach strip. The location of the hotel is well positioned to see all sides of the island.
Attentive and kind staff, big variety for breakfast (kudos to the breakfast crew) and beautiful dinner set up right at the beach. The evening restaurant was rather expensive and average (in comparison) personally I think you are better off at restaurants around the area but nonetheless dining right at the beach for sunset can be stunning!

A wonderful place on Koh Chang where we spent 10 nights.

Staff are super friendly, doing their outermost to make sure guests feel welcome and with very minor adjustments, they would be top notch.

The Dewa is certainly where I would stay again if I returned to Koh Chang.

Beautiful Resort and friendly staff.

However, three points could be improved:
At 8:00 am all sunbeds on the beach are already reserved. Often no one lies on it all day. This is something you normally experience only in Europe.
It would be nice if this “German culture” were banned here.

And at breakfast it would be great if there were one or two more vegetarian dishes to choose from, as 90% of the warm dishes contain chicken or pork.

Third: for this High lass Hotel it is sad, that there is no gym. There is just a Partner Hotel with a gym, but too far to walk.

Otherwise a great resort to come back to!

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Beautiful beach, wonderful pool, great rooms, exquisitely comfortable huge bed, good shower, super room cleaning, breakfast delicious and varied! Best part, however, is the staff! The service was second to none, always smiling and happy to help! We loved our stay there!

The Chill offers great beach access for walking and to have dinner on the beach. The rooms are great and the architecture of the buildings is stunning. Rent a scooter via the desk at the hotel for only 250 bath per day and explore the island!

Amazing staff, we have felt like home. Food was very tasty. Normal prices of food and drinks. Nice exterior and interior, great design.

I would come back over and over again. Great staff, beautiful resort, nice pool and beach. Family friendly if your kids are well behaved but of there not it may not be the right place.

Located away from the main road but the property opens on the beach where you can literally walk into the sea and keep walking for another 200 metres as it is very shallow till there. There are lots of shacks nearby with good food and alcohol on happy hour rates till 11 pm, 99B for cocktails or a large bottle of beer. Food is available till 9.30 pm They also offer massages on the beach.
They have a lovely huge swimming pool which has some jacuzzi spots too. A bar serves the pool and Happy Hours are from 12 noon till 6 pm.
The rooms are very comfortable.
Massage is available with all the frills at the parlor above the reception or on the beach at shack rates.
They have a barbecue set up on the beach every evening till 9.30 pm,
Drinks are available on the beach and Cocktails are 99B during happy hours from 12-4 pm. Draft beer is also 99B through the day.
Scooters are available on hire just outside the hotel @ 200B for 24 hours.
7-11 and Lotus stores are available almost every 500 metres. Many restaurants are located close by within walking distance but most close by 10 pm.

We would have given 4 stars but after seeing resorts at the White Sand beach Dewa deserves better. We definitely could visit again.

Architecture and design are great, mixing concrete, wood, and plants. Pool and beach are relaxing, and the surroundings are relatively peaceful. We enjoyed nightly singing live music at the restaurant. Service was good and the resort was clean. Drinks were good.

What we did not enjoy:
- One of the evening portions, noodles with shrimp, tasted old.
- Resort is bit worn out
- Villa room terrace did not have privacy as other terraces were 2 meters in front of it.

Great beachfront resort with amazing pool, clean spacious and modern rooms. Front desk staff friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast buffet so good it will make you blush. Happy hour two for ones… need I say more?

The room was amazingly clean. The pool was huge and with many beach chairs to hang out. The area at the beach was nicely arranged with some shades from the trees, we can stay there the whole day with everyday happy hour starting from 12pm. Nice place to be during a relaxing holiday.

We stayed in one of the grand villas, which are located right next to the direct beach access. I’d build my house like this, so nice. The hotel is well maintained and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is so good that even after a few days I still liked it. The location is quiet but still closed to one of the main areas with restaurants and shops. I come back for sure.

We found an excellent "rainy season" price on Booking dot com and enjoyed our six very relaxing nights.

Breakfast is very good. We liked the huge pool and the swim-up bar. The beach is quite beautiful but not visible from most of the hotel, and we only walked down to it twice. We didn't eat lunch and dinner in the restaurant.

The room included two daily bottles of water, a hot pot, instant coffee/tea, and a stocked refrigerator. Prices were fair, but we mostly bought beer and snacks at the nearby 7/11. We also used an outside travel agency and laundry drop-off, and the outside massage shops toward the main road.

There are not as many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood as we would have liked (many are closed in low season and some are just out of business), but it is possible to walk to Klong Prao to the north and Kai Bae to the south for more options. The songthaew service up and down the main road runs frequently and is not extortionate like the Phuket situation.

The hotel is largely built of polished concrete with wood, thatching and fabrics used to soften the appearance, inside and out. We found it to be very quiet even though extensive renovation is under way at the nearby Emerald Cove Resort.

One minor adventure: I left the sliding glass door to our third-floor balcony slightly ajar, and a tree rat let himself in. The only phone number we had was for room service, which was quite confused by our call, but eventually we got help from a couple of maintenance guys with brooms who chased him out.

I love the place and hope to be back at some point!

Very nice small hotel. We really liked the familiar atmosphere. Good breakfast and nice staff. The hotel is a bit "old-fashioned" but we liked it.
A negative point is the situation at the beach. All sunbeds are underneath the palmtrees and you are allowed to move them into the sun. Beanbags are nice to sit on for an hour, but it is something different.
Nevertheless we enjoyed our week on koh chang and recommend the Dewa.

The best hotel in Koh change ever. The room is super good look like five stars hotel in Bangkok. And the price of room doesn't too High, it's the place that you can stay. I booked there the room with breakfast normally it's about 2,000 - 2,500 THB. And the hotel exactly next to the beach. Day is a huge swimming pool and pool bar. In the evening you can have a dinner under the candle light in front of the beach it's perfect for the couple also good if you go there to relax with your friends. I've been there more than 10 times and every time I go to Koh Chang I only stay here. A little suggestion is the service can be more improved. The new staffs need to be trained. Breakfast is good enough.

The hotel has been around for several years, but it's well maintained and still very attractive. I arrived and got immediately the feeling of well-being. The highlights are the clean, spacious rooms in extraordinary design and style, the huge pool with pool bar and the private dream beach. The complete hotel staff is friendly and attentive, especially in the restaurant.
The breakfast doesn't let space for unfulfilled wishes.
The value for money is excellent in The Dewa hotel, would go there anytime again when I am on Ko Chang. In a walkable distance is 7-11 supermarket, massage shops, some bars and restaurants.
Only the parking situation is abit tricky, the space is quite limited.
