We have six kids - teens to toddlers. They all had a blast walking and exploring. You purchase tickets at the main building and from there we were free to walk around. It'll take 1.5-2hr in total to complete with multiple kids. Only 40 min from Tunis. A great day trip. Really glad to see a site preserved like Uthina

Amazing site! The area is quite big and you can walk around freely, we were there for around 1h. We even got a small tour and some explanations on the discoveries.

Highly recommended, especially off-season. We were literally the only ones there, the entire site, buildings, ruins. Alone. 9TND pp admission. Brand new (2022) guest building with WCs, cafe (nobody there). And pedestrian bridge to the amphitheater. The site is gorgeous, on a hill, overlooking fields, and distant mountains. And dead quiet.

The theater is impressive, smaller than El Jem but impressive nonetheless. Similar style, underground tunnels (accessible, stairs even), and arches everywhere. Nothing fancy, though.

Note that the mosaics you see and walk on are reproductions. So, no worry. The originals are safe in Bardo. DO visit Bardo. The best museum in this town.

Dirt and rock paths lead to various sites. All are busted up a lot. Signage long ago worn away. On a rainy day, this will be a muddy miasma of dirt. On a cool, sunny day, a great place.

Nearby sites have original (maybe) mosaic floors, walls, and roof long ago plundered for the stone. So-called capitol building has nice columns and indoor photos and posters (locked but guy let us in) of the history. They are certainly trying very hard to make this a tourist (bus) destination.

Only 45 minutes from the city over totally chaotic, busted, maze-like roads, big holes, trucks, dirt, smoke, barriers, goats, bikers, carts, just road hazards every 10m... Not to mention police are everywhere, side roads, intersections, roundabouts, toll stations, and exits. Everywhere. They stop anybody, anytime, for any reason. Are there traffic rules to enforce? Only discretionary. Driving in Tunis (any city) is simply perilous. If the holes don't get you, the police will. Too bad, there's no other way to go anywhere in this town. So if you can't stand chaos, it's best to stay home or never leave your hotel.

It's a huge site and well-preserved buildings from the 2nd and 3rd centuries. You can easily spend few hours here, some walking to do from one site to the other. Absolutely recommend this remarkable site

Not crowded at all. Excellent visitors center serves food and drinks with great restrooms. Plenty of parking. 8 Dinars to enter. Lots to see ancient mosaics and more.

Very interesting, and according to a local guide, 80% of the site is still underground

Entry is a bargain at 8 dinars to the whole archaeological site. It takes about 2 hours to see everything. Bring water. Visited in June, and was the only visitor at the time.

The amphitheatre is fantastic, as is the Temple and other sites. You can see amazing mosaics on the ground. Really, well worth seeing. The site is about 30 mins by taxi from central Tunis.

Wonderful place to visit and discover , you have to bring some food with you. Enjoy the calming of the place. There is a shephred , he play with his flute very well to give the place a very extraordinary sound and picture.

This was our favorite place in Tunisia to see Roman ruins! The complex is huge and there's a lot to walk around and see. Many of the structures are in pretty good condition. There's a couple pretty mosaic tile floors. There's a small entrance fee. This is a must-see in Tunisia!

It is much more than i expected. Very beautiful. I recommend to walk around and go to each place you see ruins... enjoy exploring. You can find tunnels in very good condition. If you are going to Zaghouan mountain you can choose the road that passes by Udhna. Check photos for times as put on site.

Beautiful site! Severely underappreciated. The amfitheatre and capitol temple complex were amazing and quite unique. Well worth a visit, only and hour away from Tunis centre.

This is possibly one of the best archeological sites for Roman ruins in Tunisia. Breath taking country views, a well preserved amphitheater and excellent examples of Roman bath architecture.
