OD Urla

One word, exquisite.
They provide an exquisite journey, from start to finish. It’s built on a huge agricultural land with olive trees and a farm where they collect their own harvests and use it in the restaurant.
They serve mostly seasonal ingredients and its one of the best fine dines in Turkey.
I’d recommend the Chef’s Journey if you truly want to try most . The wine menu is also pretty large and the cocktails are amazing.

Try to go before they get a Michelin soon!(in a couple of days)

We visited this restaurant at the end of December 2023. We ordered THE JOURNEY OF THE CHEF and 4 dishes from PRIX FIXE ALACARTE. We drank Italian prosecco.
The quality and taste of the food: by 5 points. THE JOURNEY OF THE CHEF includes 9 serves of dishes from appetizers to dessert plus incredibly delicious bread and a bun with seeds. All the dishes deserve your attention, but I would especially like to mention: the first plate with mini snacks, 2 Days Dry Aged Seabass, Duck Kebab and Fresh Pasta with Truffle Mushroom, these 4 serves are remembered for their complex multi-component flavors, textures and their serving. From the PRIX FIX ALACARTE we tried: shrimp appetizer, baked octopus, beef cheeks with tongue and dessert with chocolate and honey ice cream. In the shrimp appetizer, I would prefer the shrimp to be raw, octopus, hot and dessert without complaints, everything is delicious in appearance and taste.
Separately, I would like to mention the wine and bar menu of the restaurant, here everyone will find something to their liking and desire.
Atmosphere: on 5 out of 5, the room resembled a huge greenhouse, given the location and ideology of the restaurant, the concept is perfectly designed. The tables are located at a pleasant distance from each other, and other visitors do not interfere with you.
Service: at 5 with a slight minus, we had to remind our waiter that we wanted to see the menu, since they put us at the table, offered drinks, smiled sweetly, but forgot about the menu), plus they didn't tell us about all the dishes, and we looked at some of the information about the components from the menu on the website the restaurant.
Overall impression: by 5 points, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit, starting from the search for restaurants in the Urla (the restaurant has a website, pages in social networks where everything is described in detail, there is a public menu, your messages are answered and the staff are very contact), ending with the visit itself (we were satisfied and will definitely come again times).

This is our third consecutive year at OD Urla, and the tranquil atmosphere never fails to provide a sense of peace. Each visit has been an opportunity to savor a variety of dishes, and in the past, they've always left us in awe with unexpected and unimaginable twists. However, this time, while the food was still amazing, it didn't quite deliver the mind-blowing surprises we've come to expect. Nonetheless, the cocktails were impeccable, and I wholeheartedly recommend trying the eggplant cocktail if you get the chance. Until next time!

I stayed in the guesthouse and had the tasting menu, and I must say the food was of great quality. The breakfast was very rich, featuring local and fresh ingredients. The overall experience was amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone; it's definitely worth the trip.

This was absolutely one of the best gastronomy experiences of my life -- no exaggeration. We went on a Thurs. night (reservations a must!) and decided to order the Tasting Menu.

In lieu of trying one of their creative cocktail concoctions, we decided to share a bottle of red wine from a local winery. The wine was smooth and representative of the burgeoning viniculture in Urla.

For our dinner, we got to sample nearly 20 dishes, from appetizers, to salads, to main courses, including desserts. Each dish was a work of art in presentation and beauty. The flavors of each dish was distinctive and layered in creativity.

I could easily sense the hard work and precision that went into creating each component of the complex dishes, whether it was the sauce underneath, on top or the main elements of the dish itself. We were also honored to meet head chef and owner, Osman Sezener.

It's truly hard to describe the delicious culinary adventure we enjoyed that night -- I've attached just a few photos but suffice it to say that we will be back to Od Urla for sure!

When we decided to come to Ismir, our travel agent sent me a large list of restaurants that were recommended. This one immediately stood out. Yes, not going to lie, it’s a long drive from Ismir, but….. my god it’s worth it. The service is second to none. Seated amongst the olive groves is just special. Then there’s the food. I just cannot put into words how astonishingly good it is. All I can say is go. See for yourself, this restaurant is outstanding.

One word, phenomenal!

Beautifully situated in the middle of an olive grove, this place will create a core memory. Chefs come to your table to explain the each dish, should you get the tasting menu.

Only thing that did not amaze us was the beef tongue, but everything else was truly delicious.

Great cocktails and friendly staff who can speak English.

If you’re driving to this place in dark, don’t be scared and be prepared for a long drive in a dusty and narrow road.

Foods were delicious. My favorite was octopus with potatoes. Everything was served with plates own kinda sauce which made it more tastier
End of the each plate you can dip your bread to sauce left on the plate and taste the sauce just by itself. Enjoyed most of the dishes just one plate was wasn't good for me. Atmosphere was so great . Higly reccomend it.Definitely deserves michelin star.

It was one of the places with the most amazing cocktails I've ever had. Getting lost in the atmosphere and amidst the greenery, the incredibly polite and kind staff, and the seasonal touches on the menu were delightful. Many thanks to Osman Sef and the entire team👏🏻👏🏻

Love the place, eat their excellent tasting menu at least 5 x a year. Don’t order the house wine, instead enjoy their excellent wine cellar. Best Turkish wineries being Kalpak, Camlija and 7 bilgiler. Also test their signature cocktail, on the rocks if you are a gent of course and martini version for the ladies.

As soon as you walk into OD urla you are presented a beautiful scenery. We sat outside in the garden but would like to go back and sit inside where you can watch the food being prepared in front of you.

Right from the start, you are presented with a show. The waitress starts your day off with cocktails. The cocktail menu shows each drinks flavor points (bitter,spicy,sweet etc..), the ingredients and the strength :).

I started my night off with a kirmize biber. Spicy for sure but an interesting spicy which settled in your belly. I also tasted the rest of my tables drinks, and the menu is spot on for description.

Next, I decided to take a stroll around the property. Right quickly found the garden which they use for their fresh ingredientss... walking through the fig and olive trees. I found an opening for the prefect sunset pictures.

When I came back, we were presented with the chefs offerings. Tasty. Next came the apps. We tried 4 different things and if I individually described them. This could turn into a book. Also tasty.

Next came up dinner and of course we need a bottle of wine. The waiter was extremely helpful for finding me one, which was exactly as I described what I wanted.

This is my second time here. Previous one was 2 years ago and also good except the waitress. But this time the guys at service were great. Menu and tastes are gorgeous. Kuzukulagi Cocktail has to be tried for sure. We tried 4-5 different appertizers and 3 main courses (fish,beef and lamb). All were great.

Gorgeous place for dinning. When we get there, a lady came up to take us to our table. They let to choose our table location. What we see is the menu is small because of using seasonal vegetable, that means fresh and clean food. Awesome!!

The land is pretty big and they garden their own vegetables and fruits.

After ordering the food, we didn’t wait that much for warm appetizers. All meals were pretty much tasty. It was a feeling like a taste explosion in mouth. If I have to tell about wines, OD Urla has a rich menu. Yes, it looks a little bit expensive, but they deserve it.

Fantastic food and cocktail experience overall!

First of all the place is dreamy and the staff great (& gives spot-on wine recommendations).
We were impressed by all courses of the tasting menu. It was refined when needed and simple when needed, great balance.
Congrats to the chef and team to make such exquisite recipes and perfectly cooked meat and fish for so many tables, not many chefs can make such a miracle happen.

Executive style service was excellent! One of the servers is always taking care of the used knives, forks and spoons. We choose the tasting menu and the chef came et every meal to explain the dish (ingredients, cooking style etc.). Some of the plates have unique tastes that I've never tried before.

I'm in love&awe with Od Urla. It is a form of art to experience it. We ordered starters, sushi and dessert with a beautiful red wine. Everything was blowing our minds. I felt at home there. The team is super kind and professional. Outdoors smell beautiful herbs from their garden. I decided to come back for a weekend stay next time. Love it.

An amazing experience. One of the nicest meals I’ve had in Turkey. Their food is impeccable executed and very well presented. The staff explain the food perfectly and are always on hand to answer any questions about the menu. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in the region. My visit was in November, which is the depth of the off season and even then it was great.

Fine dining in Urla. We enjoyed every single course we had. The grilled octopus was just amazing. Nice surprise we’re also little chocolate truffles we got after our mains, they they fantastic. Don’t miss on trying some of the local wines, they are pretty good too. Staff was very attentive. As a treat I would come again at my next opportunity.

Hands down the best fine dining experience I’ve had in Turkey. Phenomenal food with fantastic service. The cocktails are amazing too. A must see place if you’re in Izmir area!
