Me and my husband were stuck in Istanbul over the weekend for not having a visa to Ghana.
We both Ghanians with foreign passports.
On Monday morning we decided to make a trip to find out if they could help us with a visa…
After reading all the reviews I was terrified to go over there.
Thank God we went. We met an awesome staff, very caring and respectful.
We had a good chat and most importantly they took care of us.

If a Ghanaian citizen enters Turkey and is in trouble, he can assume that this consulate will not help! The phone calls are either not accepted or you are lied to from front to back. All employees act in a highly unprofessional manner and, in my opinion, should be terminated immediately. Even 1 star is still too much. This consulate gets 0 stars from me. The emails are not replied to. If someone answers the phone, you are put off or the boss himself lets you know that he is not there, although you can hear that he is sitting there in the office and tells the employees to get rid of the callers. This consulate is a dirty shop! With such an underwhelming behavior, you can immediately tell that these people are not really educated there and are in no way suitable for this profession! How do you say again in Ghana: The system is not working! Even if these Ghanaians work abroad!

Very poor service. A brother is being held and treated like a criminal for a month now for no crime done. We have been trying to get the consulate to intervene but all that we get is we will get back to you all this while. I can say with proof that the Ghana's ambosodor to turkey is not interested in helping anyone if you find your self in trouble.

Lazy people. First you said where he is being held is too far even though it's just 3 hours drive from the consulate. Now he has been moved to much further location and now you are giving excuses.
Very lazy people.

Very poor service. They don't do their job .
Because of them my brother is locked up for almost a month now.
