Mithra Cave Hotel Cappadocia

I stayed at Mithra cave hotel with two of my friends recently. We had an amazing time. The staff were super helpful and helped us to plan out all of our days and tours. The rooms were super nice. We really loved our cave room. The breakfast was also really good. We did our balloon tour through them and we loved it. I’d highly recommend staying at Mithra!

Our room was a cozy haven carved in a cave, but provided all modern amenities we needed.

Staying here during family vacation from 5-8 April 2024, have amazing experience. Location is spot on, near minimarket and restaurant. The room itself is amazing, we get 2 floor room within the cave itself. Kids very love it. Breakfast is standard for turkish breakfast. Hospitality from staff is amazing during breakfast, they offer to take our family pictures as well for free. Decorations around hotel is amazing as well. In early morning, we can enjoy hot air ballon view from the hotel because hotel located at very top of the hill.

The room has the best view and the service here is the best! We met Ömer during dinner and he helped us take so many wonderful pictures. Love this place and we will definitely come back next time :)

Stopped here for some drinks and a wrap. Lovely views, very relaxing. The waiter Omer was extremely helpful and kind and friendly. He took some lovely photos of us too.

This hotel is on located higher than most other hotels and its not highly priced. Its beautifully made and designed. The staff is really friendly and respectable. Would recommend this to all!!

Everything was perfect. Cave rooms are exceptional, the location and rooftop view was breathtaking, staff was so kind and helpful, and we would definitely come back!

We did a few tours through the hotel and found them very straightforward and fun. My mom even fell during one of the tours (it was her fault) and the hotel staff was so helpful. They drove us to a pharmacy and made sure she was okay. Thank you!

I have had a great experience here. It checked all the boxes. It exceeded all my expectations. I would say the employees are the main reason why this place is a gem.

- The front desk people are very professional and accommodating. 5 stars!
- The breakfast staff are the best. We have ample breakfast every day, and the view from that area is stunning.
- The housekeepers are on top of their game.
- The rooms are really nice and clean (I like that they kept the rustic look).
- The property is just like a maze (in a good way). It was fun to wander around and take pictures.
- They have a variety of balconies and platforms where you can watch hot air balloons. For instance, there's one big area with carpets and pillows, and it was just my group that was there. This is a great idea to have multiple platforms, so people won't be concentrated in one place to take pictures.
- The view is stunning during breakfast (or dinner) and to watch the hot air balloons (like I mentioned above).
- I really like the location (it's on top of the hill but still close to downtown).

If I'm going back to Cappadocia, I won't hesitate to come back here again.

Very great location.
Perfect view point to see balloons. But you got to wake up at 5.30 AM to see the balloons from your room window , it would be amazing experience I say.

Very very important things!

1) Always ask for rooms in high floors with your own balcony. Talk to hotel manager before you book. Otherwise you will get inside room and totally hopeless

2) Dnt book any rooms on ground floors. All expensive rooms are downside or inside. Book for standard room in high floors with your own balcony !

Stayed with friends in a family suite room, a different feeling in a carved cave transitioned to be a luxury hotel. from the restaurant located in the rooftop we can see hot air balloons and very beautiful, the bathroom is also unique, no regret staying in this hotel, a unique different feeling

The location and the view you get from the hotel is unparalleled easily the best views of balloon flights in the morning but you already know that from all the reviews, what I’m here to talk about is it was my last day in Cappadocia and i had a flight to Nevsehir at noon. I came here with my sister to enjoy the view in the morning when the balloons come up. Due to it being a bit pricy and my last day so i was low on cash a bit so i only took breakfast for one. After enjoying the serene view, taking 100s of pictures we sat down for breakfast and all my sister had was some juice and fries on plate since we only took for one person. The manager came in and saw and insisted her to please have all she wants and then she did enjoy all the breakfast as well. This might be a small thing but this hospitality we will remember for the rest of our lives. Amazing caring people work here and yes it’s a bit pricy but for the location, amenities and sheer size of the hotel, it is a steal. Highly recommend.

Located on the top of the hill, you can see amazing views of Göreme. We stayed in a cave suite for our honeymoon. It was such a crazy experience! They booked our balloon ride which was absolutely incredible and handled all the rescheduling when our balloon flights were cancelled due to weather. The staff were really friendly and we had great chats about Australia.

Great experience! The hotel is towards the back and up the hill in Göreme, so you can get fantastic views of the valley. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious. I had an issue with the bed in my original room but the staff was able to move me to a different room without any fuss. The breakfast was delicious and the spread had a good variety of hot and cold options.

Phenomenal experience at Mithra. For starters, the taxi from the airport to Mithra was roughly 750 TL (taxis do take credit cards if you don’t have cash). We checked into our hotel at around 10PM where we were greeted by Serhat.

Serhat was very friendly and welcoming. He got us checked in and was open to all questions we had regarding activities to do in Cappadocia as it was our first time visiting. He walked us through all of the packages available for tours, hot air balloon rides, horseback riding, etc. Side note- I highly recommend Red Tour!

Hotel room exceeded our expectations. Very neat and spacious- Our room for 2 people had 2 single beds. The bathroom was located a few steps below, which was also very roomy. It did bother my partner that our room did not have any natural lighting (I believe that’s the case with most of the rooms), but personally, it created for a dimmed down, cozy environment. It’s a very peaceful space all around. Absolutely loved it.

Breakfast begins at 7:30AM and is located on the top floor terrace with a stunning view. Huge breakfast selection and staff was very prompt in keeping all breakfast items stocked. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and presentation of the breakfast buffet. It was nicely organized and presented guests with several options to choose from. Going in- Don’t expect pancakes, waffles and omelettes. Breakfast items mirror traditional Turkish breakfast with items such as olives, variety of cheeses, breads, hard boiled eggs, etc.

We were running late on the morning of check out and reception was very understanding- They let us check out an hour later. Our flight wasn’t until 8pm and they held on to our luggage while we explored the town for a few hours which was very helpful!

Shuttle to the airport is available through Mitra! A bit of a cheaper option than taxi as they run on meters and not a fixed negotiable price.
