This was my last of the three valleys tour--after Meskindir and Red--and boy did it not disappoint. All three have their own unique flavour, with Rose offering more wide-angle panoramas and bird's views down into the canyons.

Rose Valley also boasts streaks of orange, red, pink, and white, with each unique stratum competing for your eye's attention.

Definitely busier than the other two valleys. I also spotted some mountain bikers shredding it up alongside hikers. ATVers stick to the very bottom, open areas.

Most beautiful valley in Cappadocia. Great for hiking and views, very bad signposted so prepare beforehand. Several old churches carved in the tufa rock that are accessible for everyone. The Google maps location is wrong at time of writing. One can access from a side road of the road Goreme-Cavusin (difficult to find), from Red Valley or from the parking and panoramic viewpoint on the southeast of the valley. In summer the heat is heavy as there is no shadow. No other hikers when we visited on a week day in July. A round trip through the valley as described online takes 2-3 hours including some visits to the underground churches. Can be combined with Red Valley as well.

Go and see the sunset. A most wonderful view and experience. Hop around the peeks, take on a stray dog companion which will follow you around and bark at lizards (bring treats and water for them) and sit back and relax.
One of the best valleys for sunsets.

If you only have time for one hike in Cappadocia traversing across the Rose Valley is a must do!! Definitely wear good hiking shoes or sneakers with proper grip because the trail is very sandy and can be slippery at some points. I went during off tourist season (end of November) and the trail was fairly quiet, just came across a handful of hikers along the entire trail and I unsurprisingly didn't come across any refreshment vendors as mentioned in other reviews (they likely only operate during the busy tourist season). The landscape here is beautiful from all angles and it's wonderful that the trail starts from a lower angle and takes you higher up around the mid point - so you get to appreciate a good mix of different viewsheds. If you're walking towards the old cave town of Cavusin it's great to explore - there are people still in the area alongside abandoned cave homes, a quaint mosque, and some locals have converted their old family cave homes into shops. I came across one store that had good quality cotton scarves with beautiful patterns for very affordable prices. During off season these shops offer better rates since there are fewer customers and hence lower demand.

Great hike!

During low season, it's very pleasant because you're almost alone on the tracks.

NB: the pictures are from both the rose and red valleys.

Beautiful natural rock formations and man made windows/cave entrances. Easy to get to by car at the western end of the valley (marked as red valley atv on google map) or at the eastern end (marked as goreme historical national park). Wonderful hiking routes overlooking the valley. Sunset from eastern side was great..parking charge was 15tl but wide area to pick your spot. Sunset from western end was different. It was really calm and tranquil during sunset when we were here 10+ years ago.. however it was really full and dusty due to the hundreds of atv riders there chasing the same sunset spot. If you hit the jackpot like we did, i would recommend to drive away and look for a different sunset spot. Perhaps further down the road (north) near the horse farm. No entrance/parking charges

The best hiking spot in Cappadocia. Such an incredible landscape (other worldly). Take time to explore the many different footpaths, and get to the top in time for sunset. You will not be disappointed by your visit to Rose Valley.

Trail is well trafficked by hikers and horses. Signage is posted periodically. Cafe below cave church along trail offers fresh orange juice (open seasonally).

If you only have time to hike through one valley in Cappadocia, this is the one to choose. It provide some of the finest fairy chimney–strewn vistas in Cappadocia. As well as this, though, they hide fabulous, little-visited rock-cut churches boasting vibrant fresco fragments and intricate carvings hewn into the stone.

Take a quad ride so that you can visit the 3 Valleys at once. We found one just at the exit of goreme museum and it was 15euros per person.

Though everyone is taking about the incredible sunset from rose valley, I have experienced the beauty of the rose valley during the time of Sunrise and it was mesmerising. The true rosy hue can be appreciated from a distant gaze. I was there for for the early morning ballon ride. The view of the colourful happy balloons floating happily with the surreal rose valley in the backdrop has been framed in mind and it will continue to be my pride possession. Next time there, I will definitely go for a hike.
I will definitely go

In the middle of the hike, there was a cafe that served fresh squeezed juice, hot wine, coffee/tea, and other beverages. The owner was super nice and the views while drinking were fantastic. I highly recommend stopping and getting a drink with the gorgeous view. Loved it.

There's a nice hike you can do between Rose Valley and Red Valley, it took me about 1.5 hours, but I got a bit lost so it may take less time. I recommend parking the car in Çavuşin because the roads are better there. I parked at the end of the village, next to "Cappa Gusto" restaurant. Then you start walking out of Çavuşin in the direction of Rose Valley, and eventually you will see a sign which is the start of the walking track.

A great place to go for a hike... Over a few days or just one. There are a lot of trails and angles to see and photograph. It's worth the visit but make sure you have good shoes for some climbing and all the walking... And don't forget to bring lots of water!

What a beautiful area to explore on a jeep ! Nicely carved rock formations in the Rose Valley, and up close encounter here. With four people to a jeep, enjoy the drive through the terrain and have a glass of champagne at the end of the trip to take in the beauty of this natural site of beauty !

One of the best sunset locations in Cappadocia. There is a small fee to get in and park but it’s worth it. Go past the cafe with its viewing platform and walk one of the paths up the rocks. It is best to get there 30mins-hour before sunset, this means tour buses have often left and you get the best light. It’s only a short drive from Göreme and definitely worth it

What a beautiful place, what a beautiful view. The stones and the structure of this place is just too good. Don't miss the beautiful sunset view in the evening. You need to walk so make sure you are wearing sport shoes. Avoid heels.
