Sakıp Sabancı Mardin Kent Müzesi

Interesting museum about Mardins history, we especially liked the section about rugs.

For my love for Mardin and its history, I have come to love this museum a lot because it has captured almost all and everything Mardin. A careful and detailed tour of this museum in just some few hours, helps take you throughout Mardin chronologically and in modernity. The christian Mardin, Islamic Mardin, cultural Mardin, industrial and occupational Mardin, etc. Moreover, entrance is free for student group with a teacher. I most seriously recommend this wonderful museum and it is surely one of the must-see of Turkey.

Wonderful. Housed in a beautifully restored building. İnteresting collection and exhibition. Accessible to anyone. Air conditioned. Places to seat and rest. A must see.

It is a cultural museum which shows parts from people lives.

Awesome museum about the city. I recommend doing this before venturing around the city. Not too big- probably 30-45 min to walk through.
