Absolutely amazing. The owner spoke perfect English he used to live in Seattle even though he’s fully Turkish, the rugs he has were absolutely beautiful mostly handwoven with very expensive prices but he was able to explain their pricing structure and if you think about the lifespan of these carpets and how long it takes to make them it makes perfect sense. The picture spaces were absolutely gorgeous and yes there is a small charge to take pictures here but absolutely worth it for the experience. Family owned and operated business with amazing products 10/10 would recommend.

I am so happy with my carpet and the experience I had at this store...I asked for a red carpet owner was so patient with me taking out what felt like 30 carpets and nothing clicked. Finally I told him that I just wanted something special and would make me smile when I saw it. He brought out this one and I fell in love. Sometimes you don’t know what you truly want until you see it. ❤

They are amazing! They offer either you take pics yourself or by them for a higher price. Both are very reasonable. Luckily I had ample time to take nice photos using my tripod and Apple Watch. They also offer costumes included in the price and some costumes for additional pricing. Wonderful folks here! You will not regret it because it was the highlight of my trip here to have great photos and videos for my memories and social media.

Wow, what an amazing place! You won't believe it, but they only charge you 20 euros for a whole half hour of picture-taking! And guess what? They even provide you with free Turkish clothes! Isn't that fantastic?

We went to visit Ali (the owner) after a recommendation and we were welcomed like long lost family members. Ali and Mehmet were the best hosts, showed us so many fabulous carpets and took the time to explain to us the history of the patterns and the making process. We bought three pieces and will definitely go back again. I would highly recommend Ali and his team and if you are looking for a gorgeous and high quality carpet you will find it here!

Ali (owner) and Sebo are excellent! Very honest - will tell you the truth about rug origins, make, style, symbolisms, and histories. Ali worked in Seattle 6 years so understands US/Western consumer culture: patient, non-pressuring, happy to take out 50 rugs even if you don’t buy, genuinely wants to teach his culture/region. He even encouraged us to record him while he explained the details of our rug for 10mins. (Will ship any rug for $100.)

FYI: Sultan has won TripAdvisor best rug shop in Göreme/Kapadokya last 10 years.

Marco made the buying experience an enjoyable one. The shop is beautiful and all the shop owners are friendly and easy to work with. I’d recommend stopping here for an authentic experience and quality kilims.

Ali bey is the King of Carpets, and Sultan Carpets is the treasure. Forget about all the other carpet shops with their photo shoot locations. Go visit Ali bey and marvel at the magnificence of his collection, ask him about his treasure room, and “the one carpet to rule them all” he will know which one to show ;)

Make sure you stop by when visiting Cappadocia, you will regret missing it.

Great place to shop for authentic, hand woven Turkish carpets from across the region. No rush or pressure, just enjoy the shop and your own "selection process". Ali is a great host and we had alot of laughs while we shopped. They arranged for shipping to the US. We were there in December 2018, would love to return one day.

Great place for photo shootings:) popular on instagram. Just remember to pay 100lira for that since most people are there for instagramming. The carpet prices are to high ;)

Extremely beautiful pictures and pleasant experience. Sultan carpets visit is amongst our cherished memories of Cappadocia. The staff was very pleasant to talk to and to help learn about rug making, Cappadocia culture and story behind each carpet. We purchased authentic Cappadocia designed rugs and enjoyed carpet chat over turkish tea. You dont have to be an expert on carpets, their team will guide you through picking the right carpet for your taste and budget. Carpet quality is great and ensured investment in your quality home decor for generations.
Icing on the cake was their very beautiful carpet galleria and dresses they have kept for customers to enjoy beautiful pictures of Cappadocia carpets. All free of charge :)

This place is amazing!

I came here to take pictures - 20 Euros and it was so worth it! You are given a 30 minute slot, so you don't have to fight a crowd to get the shot you want. The owner is generous and kind. He will show you rugs and I knew he was immediately giving me good prices after being in another shop. I highly recommend visiting - whether for your Instagram picture or for a good price on a rug.

If you want to get something unique from Cappadocia, you might want to visit this place. They gave a great collection of carpets, that are suitable for any of your needs. They also have a photo studio on the second floor, which is very lovely. I don't understand about the racist comments - we are an Indonesian family and they serve us very well. We felt as if we're all sultans/sultanas!

I am originaly Persian and saw lot of Persian Carpet shops! But i give 5vstar for a nice area that they made for tourists photography and live this experinece to be in the place like a Sultan palace!
And for Mr. Mustafa that loves his job and he welcomes everybody and give informations and not just to sell the carpets.

Hello, first of all, this place was great. We paid 80€ for a photo shoot on October 27, 2022. Our photographer was very respectful, patient and understanding, I forgot his name, but he was a very nice friend, thank you. The venue gives a perfect half hour and we spent this half hour with the photographer. We are very happy. Respect, patience, customer relations are great, literally, we plan to come again next year, good work

Fairy tale place- awesome photos and videos!
We were here specifically for a photo shoot .
The owners were really friendly and chatty ​and made us feel easy and comfortable.​
​They ​provide traditional​ colorful​ clothes​.
​We paid ​80​ euros for​ two people / photos and dron video included/ and it was worth every single cent ​ ​!
​It's better to book your photo shoots in advance​ as there are too many people waiting for ​this.
​The whole shop is ​amazing​ and the carpets are beautiful- must see!
