Very nice and helpful owner. The hostel is very clean and has cozy community areas to meet other travelers. People even played guitar and had a little jam session in the evening. It’s a 4 minute walk from the main station. Definitely recommended :)

The hostel was very comfy, the location was also pretty nice and we got great recommendations for activities from the owner. I will defenetly come back if I have the chance
(And btw there were no bedbugs whatsoever only a cute cat :3)

My best stay in all of Taiwan so far! Really enjoyed the vibe and the animals and the piano. Definitely a place to go back again next time.

The owner is really nice aswell as the location.
I don't know why there a some reviews about bed bugs this is a lie for sure.

Lovely and cozy hostel. I booked 1 nite in dorm room. There are 6 beds in a room but the space is comfortable. Each floor has 1 shared bathroom including toilet. I didnt try their food but the guys in the room said it's ok.
The hostel is super near Hualien train station and scooter rental shops.
Recommend and worth with the price

I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and there were no issues with noise or disorder late at night. It was quiet which helped me do productive work sitting on a couch downstairs.

Lovely hostel. Angela is friendly and very knowledgeable for activities in the area, and there's a very chilled out atmosphere all over. Having only 3 showers/2 toilets can be an issue but hostel wasn't very full so I never found myself waiting in the 3 days/2 nights I spent there.

There is also a gorgeous, cute, friendly, amazing dog called Obama, who is 100% guaranteed to steal your heart, and 2 cats who are equally nice. Meeting Obama alone is worth the nightly rate. Miss him already!

Super accessible from the train station, make sure to use the rear exit and not the main. Nice lounge areas for socializing and the owner has a dog (who barks sometimes but is small, cute, and harmless) and cat . The owner Angela and staff are welcoming, helpful, speak english well, and love to help you find things to do, food to eat, etc. It's a cash only place, but it's a very affordable option. It's an hour and a bit by bus to Taroko, or less than an hour by motorbike. Stayed December 2019.

The owner, Angela, is so nice. I stayed here for almost 2 weeks to explore Hualien, and she gave me tips on where to eat/what to see around the city. This is a very clean hostel, with spotless bathrooms (the most important part about a hostel imo). It had a relaxed artsy vibe, and was in a great location in the city. Couldn't have asked for more!

Stayed here one night on 1/4/2016. Very reasonably priced. The lady who looks after this place is very helpful. The dorm and communal areas are very clean. Location is good as it is within walking distance to the train station, 5 minutes walk. There is also a laundry shop nearby and plenty of eateries within walking distance.

At first it is hard to find.. but ones you found it, it is easy to reach from the station.
One of the hosts (Angela) is really accommodating...
My roommates are all kind and caring..
Everything's free in the Kitchen except those in the fridge...
Am just not happy about the idea of "not having a towel and the check-in time as well"..
But I VERY MUCH RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE 👍🏻

This place is super awesome and clean. Great atmosphere, the owner is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and I left wishing I could stay longer. This will be my recommendation to everyone I know, and my go-to hostel in Hualien. It’s very close to the train station and very welcoming and artsy inside :)

Couldn't have hoped for a nicer or more laid-back place to stay! Anglea and her friends are super chill and welcoming. Very close to the train/bus station, clean rooms and bathrooms, and quite affordable. Obama, the lobby dog, is adorable. Def would stay there again!

Very kind employees! About 18 beds in three rooms. Very close to the train station and scooter rental. Remarkably many visitors doing yoga, meditation and having long hair and wearing uncommon clothes during our stay.

I can only recommand this place. Under normal circumstances i would have given 4 stars for the lack of atmosphere as we were the only guests there, but the girls working there were doing a lot of effort making it a nicer place than it already was. We payed a super cheap price. With breakfast included it was a great deal. The only negative thing is that it's a bit far from the city center.

Enjoyed my stay so much! I felt at home with the help our hosts and Obama. Confortable beds and good facilities. They helped me plan activities around the city. Would definitely come back. Thanks for everythings!

Lovely hostel. Everything is small but comfortable, cozy. The best thing is that the hostel is just few steps away from the train station, close to the bus station. Many good restaurants, shops around.

A very relaxing place with a great friendly atmosphere which reflects the character of the owner & staff. The location is also strategically located 5 min from the train/bus station, 30 sec from a supermarket and other useful shops/services.

Nice hostel, good service and very caring owner. We came as usualy without any booking, only locals say its neccessary. We got 3 beds, and it was just like a normal european hostel.

Such an awesome hostel. The staff are super nice and welcoming, the location is prime for visiting Taroko, and it's right by the train station. Ideal.
