Kindness Hotel - Hualien County

Staff was personable, courteous and attentive. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean with adequate amenities. Our room had a faint cigarette smell. Probably the previous guest was a heavy smoker so the scent lingered.

Breakfast was plentiful with a wide selection (mostly Chinese style food). This hotel seemed to be popular with tour groups probably because of the complimentary breakfast and late dinner. Aunties and uncles who were afraid of missing out lined up outside the dining room long before meals were served, making the dining area more chaotic than it should have been. If you are not in a hurry, try going a little later to stay away from the crowd.

24-hours complimentary laundry with detergent and bags. Might take two full drying cycles for the clothes to dry.

All on all, we appreciate this hotel's thoughtfulness and would stay here again on our next visit.

Checked in with my son on Christmas Eve for four day golf tournament. The best experience stay ever! From the staff crew to the location and service all top notch! Definitely a 6 stars experience. The hotel also provided breakfast and late dinner and also free bike rental for your leisure to travel around into the beautiful scenic areas. My son and I checked out today as he finished his tournament and we just arrived home at Taipei and we received a concerned call from them telling us they found our type C converter flash adapter while cleaning the room and kindly ask for my address so they can mail it to me for free. This is definitely going that extra mile to satisfy your customer. Highly recommend!

Nice hotel offers great value. Close proximity to train station, food and shopping. Nice staff (some English speaking), all very helpful. Free breakfast, snacks/coffee, and an evening snacks (could be dinner option). Good size rooms.

Wished there were more stars to give. This hotel is by far the best hotel I have stayed at. Sure the decor and view weren't the best but what this hotel makes up for is the cleanliness and amenities. The bed was soft and the linen was pressed. There is complimentary snack time and supper, the latter to which serves up a simple and healthy fare. There is free ice cream, coffee and tea all day. Steriliser machines for baby bottles are also available. Oh and free washing machine and laundry access as well.

Our stay at Kindness Hotel was fabulous. Two nights, Business Double Bed room on top (10th) floor. Easy, quick checkin; able to use English throughout with all staff; clean, odorless room, wifi sketchy at times but adequate; good breakfast with enough options for all. The real indication of how good is KH was when the earthquake hit (4/2024). Here’s where you see what’s behind a hotel, and the staff - from management to custodian - were 100% helpful, knowledgeable, and caring, all with tremendous poise and patience for us clients. We would definitely stay with KH again.

Blown away by how amazing this hotel was. They provide free buffet breakfast AND dinner?!? + free bike rentals, laundry, live music and magician, snacks, and 24/7 winter melon tea, coffee, etc.

The hotel is really kind, with all the free stuff! Besides free breakfast, they have free tea time snack from 3-10pm, 24hrs free drinks, coffee,tea,ice cream! Free supper too from 8-10pm with live music. Free laundry, they also have bicycle that u can use outside! Free water cooler outside lift too. Room is spacious, with bathtub and shower area. Convenient location, 6 mins from hualien train/bus station

Huge rooms with two double beds with a bathtub. Free launderette at level 1 with complimentary supper at 8pm. A short walk from HuaLien train station and a good base for taroko. Free bicycles. Awesome location and good breakfast. However expect crowds during mealtime as a lot of tour groups.

Clean rooms. Rates includes breakfast and supper, yes supper. Hotel provides washing machines and dryers for guests.

One of the better hotels I have stayed in. Large rooms and everything is provided, free laundry services. The staff are also extremely polite and helpful.

The room is well maintained and clean. The service is friendly. Snacks are provided all day at the hotel lobby. I really like the complimentary supper and breakfast buffet. They offered a variety of tasty food and fresh fruits. Also, easy access to laundry service if required. Free parking onsite or at the carpark just across the road.

Everything about the hotel was exceptional! They provide bikes, free laundry service, breakfast, snack time and late dinner. No other hotels I've ever stayed at provided this. Only less than 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station. One of the best hotels ever!

Great Location with Excellent Service
This hotel is located a short walk from Hualian's main Train and Bus Station. The hotel is modern and well serviced. The counter staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast and late evening supper buffets were included in the price of the room and were kept well stocked to serve the crowds of out-of-town tourists. We were given a room on the 10th floor with a good view of the city. This is a very popular hotel in Hualien and well deserves a 5-star rating.

My favorite hotel in Hualien. It's located just 5 minutes walk from the train station, so you don't need a taxi to get there.
Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Only downside is that there's quite some gap below the door, so you'll hear every little noise from the corridor (putting a towel under the door helps a lot!).
They serve a huge breakfast from 7am to 10am, and also a very decent dinner from 8pm to 10pm (called "late night supper"). Additionally, they got complimentary drinks and ice cream all day, and some other snacks in the afternoon.
Laundry is available for free with lots of machines.
Bicycles are available for free as well but they're tiny - good enough to get to the night market, but nothing for long distances.
Staff is extremely friendly and always happy to assist. Not all of them speak English but there's always somebody available.
If you visit Hualien, make sure to stay here!

Great service and kind staff. Very clean room. Breakfast & late dinner are delish with healthy balance. Close to Hualien train & bus terminal for easy access to Taroko National Park. Would love to try out other city locations of Kindness hotel.

the best value for money hotel, it’s considered cheap with the service they give, free supper with quite vary choice of foods, ice creams, coffee, then the free laundry and dryer machines, there were really a lot of them, the receptionist even help me to operate them since I can’t read chinese.

there were groups of people when we checked in and the restaurant was packed but they organized neatly and keep the foods coming too

no doubt will be my only choice if I ever come back to hualien

Do not skip hualien if you visit Taiwan, Taroko gorge is definitely stunning

The Kindnees hotel is near Hualien station and bus terminal for easy access to Taroko Park and surrounds.
The hotel is clean throughout, staff friendly and courteous. There are so many free inclusions, breakfast, supper, bike hire, luandromat and 24/7 coffee, tea, snacks and 6 ice cream flavours. Great value hotel run very efficiently.

Excellent service. The staff was friendly and helpful. You can always ask someone for help and it's immediately dealt with. There's an open snack bar for refreshments and dessert. Breakfast buffet was amazing while late hour dinner served at 8pm.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Would have preferred a softer pillow but otherwise all was well ~worth the time and $ spent for a great business hotel.

Room was spacious and amenities were well stocked (they even had different soap and shampoo for men and women). Breakfast was also absolutely amazing with a wide selection and dessert. Free beverages and ice cream throughout the day as well, and also free supper from 8pm to 10.30pm. In short, my stay here was awesome and I can't wait to be back again.
