Baishatun Gongtian Temple

Bike ride from luzhu dist. Taoyuan 91km up to this beautiful place. Just to eat (taho) delicious 😋😋.

Temple is always very crowded. Lots of visitors . Realized a beach nearby during second visit . Water is cleaner than close by area. Beautiful view . Lots of snails and crabs. My daughter loved finding crabs, snails and playing around. It’s a fun place to bring kids . There are few taps nearby to wash of your sands before you get into your vehicles.

Baishatun, the temple and beach are definitely worthwhile to visit. If you're taking the train to Baishatun Station, there are free bikes that can be borrowed for free nearby the station--just make sure to return it when you're done with it. Best of all, at least during my two visits on a weekday, it wasn't incredibly busy and the roads are decently wide, so my friend and I didn't have any trouble biking to the temple. (Just be courteous and get off and walk your bike when you're actually at the temple and in crowded places.) Tons of stands for food when vendors are open during the day with a good amount of variety. I personally liked the mantou/baozi place (in one of my pics.) The beach is right behind the temple as well and it's absolutely stunning to walk/ride along. Really recommend this place if you want to visit a quiet little town and pray at a rather well known temple here in Taiwan.

Heard about this MaZu for a long time, on our way home from lunch, we stopped by to let our mom worship and pay respect to her beloved MaZu. My first time here, but I can sense the positive atmosphere with so many people worshipping MaZu. Mom also walked over the fire as well.

Good place to visit as this is a very popular place as miracles have been reported to have come to people who have prayed here
Lots of good food from the street stalls and there are a few places to eat in the parking area
Parking is $50 TWD all day
Washrooms are inside the temple
Lots of incense smoke inside but very beautiful to see

Very very good place to go. You can feel the traditional culture there. Highly recommend and the god is very very nice, you will feel it and get blessed.
