It's a fresh water cave. Lots of people dive in or swim in the clear waters of the cave.

Nice quiet place wrapped with the beauty of nature, not spoiled with the so cold world civilization.
Polite, nice and loving ❤ staff, the owners presence is a plus.
The food, pure local made fruit juice, smoothes OMG, this place is a must go when you're in Zanzibar.
There are lots of caves out here but this one surpasses all.
I recommend this place, safe even for kids, my 4yrs old boy liked the place too.

Kuza caves are a really nice afternoon teip. You can bike or walk from Jambiani or Paje. It's a good way to get out of the sun and cool off on a hot day. The freshwater is cool and refreshing. But not too cold. At the time of review it's 10 USD to enter. At the gate there is some small souvenir shop, bathrooms/change rooms, and a place to buy drinks. My only complaint was the small water bugs (sand fleas?) which kept biting me. Interestingly they left my girlfriend alone as well as the other women who were swimming. I threw my t shirt on and it was less bothersome.

In Swahili Cave you can swim in beautiful, clear and deep water. When we arrived, there were only 2-3 people who left quite quickly, so we basically had the whole cave for ourselves which was great. Bring a mask if you have one to see what is underwater. Surroundings are nice, one can sit and rest outside once done.

Not yet touristy, which a big pro 🤩
Crystal clear water. Admission fee 10$
Friendly staff.
No washroom yet.
Come on Saturday evenings for live performance. The live performance itself is free, but make sure to try the barbeque buffet. Really good and affordable

Absolutely great experience! I walked here from Paje along the beach and then had some trouble finding it (Google maps was not really being its usual helpful self), but it was sooooo worth it! At the entrance they offer some cold beverages for sale and Mr Bui was most helpful explaining about the cave. When kindly asked, he even became my involuntary photographer and took numerous pictures and videos while patiently waiting for me. He even offered me a pair of goggles and went to get them for me so I could dive and see better. The cave is huge and deep and it is very refreshing to swim in it. If you come between 9:00-11:00 a.m., you can even enjoy the sunlight lightening up the water.
Entrance fee is $10 or 23000 Shillings.

The swahili cave was a great discovery. It’s more profound and quieter than the other cave.
A very beautiful place to see in Zanzibar.

Omg! The place is so cool, blue water 💦 and clean, very deep no worry to jump, and Brother Bui is so helpful, thanks to him. I have been there yesterday for my friend’s birthday, we had really good time, I highly recommend.

Entrance fee: 10 USD or 20000 TZS (2024/02), better pay with shillings. A natural cave with a small pound, suitable for swimming.

Such a great spot I almost want to keep it secret. We went here when kuza cave was too full and we had an entire cave and swimming hole to ourselves. One of the best days of our trip. It also looks like they have a bar and lights set up at night which I am sure is a blast. You definitely need 4 wheel drive and a small car to get here, or you can walk about 15 minutes.

The water is so clear, the sunlight glittering the water from around 8 o'clock a.m. the depth is so pleasing to jump in, absolutely healing.
