I got takeout - BBQ chicken flatbread, deep fried ravioli, and vanilla peanut butter pie. All of it was amazing! The staff was super personable, my order was done in 15 minutes, and really though, the pie...🤤 I am in town for business and randomly found Monument when I was scrolling through all my food options. I'm so happy I chose them! I'll need to make sure my boss sends me back so I can eat here again...

My first visit and had a wonderful lunch with family. The food was amazing and service was warm, friendly, and very helpful. I would go back and maybe try their outdoor dining when weather permits.

Looking for a local place before event at Trine University. Delicious pizza--personal size pizza with 4 pieces-perfect! Not to mention $2.50 drafts! Service was fast and friendly. Definitely recommend

We really loved the onion twizzlers and the garlic & Parmesan fries.
The flat bread I got was awesome! Just the right size. My kids enjoyed the pizza they got as well.
The staff is friendly, helpful, & patient. 😊
Definitely stop by if you are looking for a yummy meal.

BEST SPOT IN ANGOLA! Went for the first time with my wife and parents and we absolutely loved our meal and the staff! Shawn was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and a great guy to chat with! I had the Hawaiian Chicken Sandwich and was blown away! Was expecting an above average sandwich and received arguably the best one I’ve had! We devoured their homemade pies and look forward to visiting again when we’re back in town!

As another downtown business owner The Monument is one of our favorites for lunch! Wonderful Service! The chicken strips grilled or fried are the best in town! Don’t forget to try the monument mustard 🤗

A very friendly place. Great homestyle food. I will return when I am in Angola!
I had the deep fried ravioli...very good. Then a personal size pizza with hand formed crispy crust...also very good. And a slice of what I think was homemade vanilla peanut butter pie to take home.
Yes indeed I will return!!

The pizza is thick crust, so don't judge it by the size when ordering, as it will fill you up quickly. The place is small, which makes noise travel further, but is a nice break from the chains, not too far off the highway, and the staff is attentive.

What can I day but wow?! Hubby and I went in to grab a cheese pizza and some of their fried ravioli (hubby was born and raised in St Louis, toasted/fried ravs are a big deal to him) and we were blown away by the friendliness of their wait staff who even admitted she was new and hadn't tried everything yet, but said it with a smile and came back to ask our opinions on the raviolis because they intrigued her... They are SUPERB!

Crisp, rich, perfect in texture, size, and flavor. They are OUTSTANDING alone, but paired with the marinara they bring to you and lightly dusted with table top parmesan cheese... Otherworldly. They're a two bite deal that will have you begging for more and humming your appreciation with every bite.

The pizza was another true delight. The crust is soft, yet crunchy. Flakey, yet far from dry. It's doughy, but not chewy. Pretty sure the owner/chef of the joint has created a brand new style of pizza right here in Angola because neither hubby, nor I, have ever experienced it and we have been just about EVERYWHERE across the USA and the globe at large. It's absolutely not NY, Chicago, St Louis, or Detroit style. It's unique and the flavors are bold. It's indescribably light and doesn't sit roughly on the stomach. Not a whole lot of grease to talk about either, it's pretty much the perfect pizza.

And can we just reserve a moment to talk about the Key Lime pie? The guy whips it into a Key Lime mousse that is fluffy and airy and tangy and then smothers it in whipped cream in a way that is 100% unique to him and a downright dulcet spin on a classic that I will never forget. In fact, I may just run down there for a slice for lunch.

We met the owner as we admired the interior integrity of the historical building the pizzeria occupies. The original tin tiles and gorgeous crown mouldings adorn the incredibly lofted ceiling of the downstairs space. I definitely don't envy his energy costs, but I do admire and love the fact that he has chosen not to add drop ceilings and steal the thunder away from this beautiful bit of Angola architecture - instead he has adorned the walls with vintage photographs, posters, signs, and other bits and bobs that boast pride in the region as a whole. It's like a museum trip with a great meal and the best part of it all? It's casual, friendly, and spirited. His patrons love him and he is quite humble while accepting compliments about his business and his culinary skills.

If you skip out on this place, you're missing a big chunk of Angola pride and spirit - but worse, you're missing epic good food.

Didnt really have expectations here, but ended up coming back two nights in a row because we were so pleased. Would be remiss not to mention the pie, which was like nothing Ive seen, being from the mountain west. Great atmosphere and food and people.

We stopped here on our way to our cabins and didn't expect much. What we got was incredible. It did take a while to get our food, which was disappointing since they weren't very busy. But once we got our food, it was well worth the wait. Some of the greatest flatbreads and pizzas any of us have ever tried. We would definitely go back next time we are in the area!

Wide variety of great food to choose from, including some delicious desserts. My grandmother and I went and ordered a rather large amount of food (we were famished after not eating previously that day). We both really enjoyed our food, which was a pleasant surprise (we figured that it wouldn't be very good, considering the prices were so low). Also note that, while I generally eat more meat than anything else, my grandmother eats mostly fruits and veggies, so we ate quite the variety. Our waiter was very friendly and fast. I've been there multiple times and I can truthfully say that, while their pizza is awesome, their other menu items are definitely worth ordering. Just make sure to leave plenty of room for dessert!
All in all, the service, food, prices, atmosphere, and staff were all excellent and I can't wait to return!

The food is great, especially the pizza. Definitely try the pitas chips and beer cheese. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Be aware that the service isn't particularly swift, but they have plenty of cold beer to fill the time.

It was 3 pm on a sunny but cold Saturday and the place a swamped to the point the had to call in the reserves... I had a personal buffalo chicken pizza.... even with the crowd it was fast and good... I also had to save room for dessert... Coconut cream pie with peanut butter crust. I wish I had room for the sandwiches which looked AWESOME.... the fully stocked bar was a sight for sore eyes... I have to give it up for the wait staff and the cook they were swamped but still pulled the service off with a smile... way to go...

I had a wonderful meal yesterday in this nice little restaurant tucked in the northeast corner of the Angola Historic Commercial District. I truly enjoyed it and the service.

Having to eat gluten free for the last 10 years has changed the way I feel about pizza, but Monument has made me fall in love with pizza again! I can't wait for their gluten free dessert pie!
