Lonnie, the camp host graciously offered to open the house so we could tour it. We enjoyed seeing the history and hope they continue restoring it. Inside I was able to grab a few informational sheets of things to do in the area, which was nice.

This was my great, great , great grandparents(maybe too many greats) home. Used to explore it as a child when it was in horrible condition. Now that the park service has taken it over and repaired it, it's a great place to see.

A very nice/clean trail in the forest to go with kids. Very clean and not crowded at all.

Love going up to my grandmother's family historical home. A lot of heart and soul was put into it after the DNR/IN Forrest Service, took it over from a donation/buy by my grandmother Anna Beard Lasher. My parents Mr and Mrs Kenneth Lasher helped in some of the restoration. The Rickenbaugh Family Reunion is held at the house each year in June. The IN Forrest Service gals are awesome and open the house for family gatherings.

Enjoyed the history behind the property. Off season so wasn't open to enter. Also checkout the family cemetery just North of the home.
