Went in about a month ago to have them take the tires off my car and give me just the rims to take home and refinish. This made the job much easier and a lot faster. Took the rims back to have the tires balanced and put back on. I was even able to paint my calipers while it was up on the lift. Harter's provides a great, high quality, and fast service. Always a pleasure to support a local business.

ATTENTION WOMEN: If you finally want to find a TRUSTWORTHY garage that totally respects women, these mechanics have done *THE MOST* outstanding service for the best price, hand's down! I'm almost 50, and have been around the block. I've lived in NYC, San Diego, etc. and have come across a LOT of shady mechanics in my day. But Harter's has been a trusted name for my entire family for many many decades. My Dad was a car whiz, and he ONLY trusted Harter's for all our repairs. They continue to impress me, 40+ years later. Not only have they caught problems ahead of time, and always fixed them for a very reasonable cost, but they also do regular checkups a few times a year (usually no cost!) to make sure my car is running smoothly and safely. And they've referred me to several great local mechanics for any specialty work that needs to be done. Several times they've even fixed little niggling problems for me -- for free! If you don't want to get screwed over, want amazing service, kind respectable treatment, and the BEST old-school know-how... Harter's is your life-long shop!

I bought tires online and they agreed to install them. I verified they were the correct size with Pep Boys, as some versions of my vehicle come with different sizes. After I dropped my vehicle off, they called and refused to install them, telling me I bought the wrong size tires. Even after offering to sign something saying I accept responsibility for the outcome they still wouldn't do the work. Waste of my time.

This place is a scam. I called this shop on a Friday in hopes they could help me figure out a grinding noise in my truck. I was informed that it would cost $20-$50 for them to check it out. They said the cost was depending on how much digging they had to do to find the issue. Monday rolls around and I drop off my truck at 8:30am. All morning I was running other errands and drove by the shop on four separate occasions. My truck had not moved from the spot I parked it in. Then at 10:15 I drive by again and still truck in same spot. At 10:20 I receive a phone call from the shop saying they could not find anything wrong and my charges were $50. When I went to pick up my truck it was now turned around like they drove it next door and came back and parked it.. My truck still has something wrong with it and I paid this horrible place $50 to drive my truck for 5 minutes. Please do not be scammed by these terrible people take your vehicle somewhere that will actually do the work they are charging for.
