Knob Creek Gun Range

It's been years since I've made it down to the machine Gun shoot.
Thanks for the good times and lasting memories.

My son is now older and I wish he was able to experience this for himself. But like all things good things they come to an end.

The nearest place to Louisville to shoot outdoors. You can rent anything you want to shoot from them. Tons of weapons stocked as well as ammo. Host of the world's largest machine gun shoot which ended this year with a bang! So many people from around the world came to see it. Video's of previous shoots are on line to watch. Always a fun experience.

Best Machine Gun Shoot to attend!!! We've gone for years and attended the 50th final one last year! I shot the 50 BMG and loved the experience!!!! Could have done that all day!!! Not sure, but my Husband & I heard the sons are starting it back up in 2023!!!! WE HOPE SO AND WILL BE THERE IF THEY DO!!!!

This was our family's first time out there and it was great. Range was run safely and efficiently, friendly staff and prices are good. We will be going back as often as we can.

The range is very entertaining plus lots of guns and accessoryd to pick from in the shop. Range is $12 all day if you like.

I've always had a good experience with the people at Knob creek. The range officer is tough, but he needs to be tough or else some dummy will end up killing somebody on the range. Salesmen have always been courteous and more than willing to teach me about guns and show me anything I wanted to see. Love the machine gun shoot! Best gun store in America!

Great Range

I had never shoot before with handguns and i decided to go the range *alone* and try it by first time, the guy in the counter help me to choose a good pistol for me (rented for $10), he gives me a .40 and everyone in the store treat me like if i was part of the club.
The safety guys in the range were really strict with the safety, take them job really serious. Thats a 5
Price
$5 dollars for the range (with military ID)
$20 (aprox) for a box of ammo
$10 for the gun

Also they have great variety and really good prices

Best gun range in the region in my opinion. First time there took my daughter and her boyfriend. Everyone was super friendly and professional. I looked around and prices are spot on from what I saw walking around all the many gun displays. You can find just about anything you would want there! Going back regularly that's a guarantee!

Been a very long time since I have been. However, I remember this place as the first place I ever shot a semi auto pistol, was very proud of how well my groupings were and was even encouraged by a staff member. This place is legendary!!! Great professional staff and very helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. I would rate this a 300% definite must visit if you have never been!!! Well 300% isn't an actual value 😂😂😂 Just know that you will have a great experience!!!

The range officers are strict, and that is great. Poor safety and inattentive range officers lead to someone being struck by a negligent discharge. Be thankful someone is watching the other shooters, it's one of the things that make this my preferred range.

Got 2 sets of iron sites for my ar 15s for 100 bucks. You can't beat it. I love this facility 1 of my top 5 places in Kentucky. If you never been go no time limit on the range. Got really great set of men up there will get you set and on your way. If you need Cwp they got you.

I rarely review places, but Mark, Cole, & the rest of the folks at Knob Creek Gun Range deserve a 5 star review. I can’t say enough good things about how helpful Mark & the crew were in helping me find the perfect gun. I went in looking for a specific model, which they had multiple in stock. After feeling the weight and the size of the gun I went in to see I realized that model might not be the right size for me. Mark showed me several more guns, and then Cole suggested a similar model with a better overall feel for me. The guys were super patient, extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly understanding of what I was looking for in a gun. These guys spent at least an hour and half showing me guns, holsters, red dots, etc… Not once did they try any sales techniques or pushy salesman stuff. They literally just wanted to help me find the right gun and the right accessories.
Needless to say, this is the only place I will buy my guns, ammo, and accessories in the future. This is a top notch place, with an awesome staff, and an unbelievable amount of inventory. The showroom was awesome, and the range had a sweet set up.
I guess my point is, Knob Creek Gun Range is the Go-To source for weapons and ammo in this region. Thanks so much to Mark, Cole, and the rest of the crew, I couldn’t be happier with my new gun.
P.S. The place is so big they even have their own cafeteria with food, snacks, drinks, etc…Lunch was great at the range.

Excellent place to go and enjoy watching the 2 time a year Machine Gun Shoot. Great staff, organized and very eager for people to have a good time.

This range is awesome! It is really pretty too! There is a range security officer there by the name of Cole, and I can't say enough good things about him! He helped my boyfriend and I a few times, and he was super interesting to talk to! We both wished he was there when we went back the 2nd time! He went above and beyond to help us out and was just an awesome all around person. So thank you KCR and thank you Cole, you helped these Chicago folks to have a great time while visiting! Hope to be back one day!

Was there today with my wife and two young sons. Staff in the store and the range officers were great. Yes, the range officers are stern. But we're not roller skating here. Someone could die from a careless mistake. They were very professional and made the rules very clear. They dont know if you know what you're doing or not but they're not going to let the rest of us find out the hard way.

Overall, it was a great experience especially considering I had a 6 and 9 year old with me. They knew from me that this was not something to be taken lightly and the range officers reinforced that, which I liked. We will return.
