St Leon Tavern

Great place to visit in St Leon! Nice seating and bar area. We visited in December and the inside was very festive. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered their famous fried chicken and it was definitely made to order as it was hot, juicy and tender. Someone came in to pick up two large coolers full of the chicken for a party so it is definitely popular. The mashed potatoes and gravy and the cole slaw were both great sides to accompany the chicken. The dessert menu looked fantastic but too full to try...maybe next time!

We kept hearing great things about the fried chicken. It totally lived up to the hype! The food is really good. The homemade ham and bean soup is very good. We'll have to try some homemade dessert another time. The prices are very good as well. Enjoyed the small town friendly atmosphere. Check out the Tavern. You won't be disappointed! 👍👍

Would have never known about this place unless a friend told me where it was. Good fried chicken. The service was great. If I'm ever in the area again, I'm stopping in..

Got there early for dinner because we had a party of 9. Got seated right away. Had great service.

Was a very cute place to eat. Their fried chicken was very good. Daughter loved their mash potatoes. Food was very good.
A throw back in time

Great food with kid friendly atmosphere our family has ate there many times and have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered the staff is very friendly and helpful always has some specials going on love the place

The chicken is great. Has the perfect amount of pepper and spices.

First time here and was a great dinner. We shared an order of chicken and tater tots with a cold drink. Food was hot, delicious and plenty of it! Service was good as they were busy, but our server was attentive and the bill was priced right!!! It's possible they may even have a juke box as music was pretty random but fun.

Food was good chicken was excellent mashed potatoes were very good the coleslaw was also very good 😊

We are camping from out of town and some folks camping near us had mentioned this place, and the 2nd person to mention the best fried chicken in the world.
Well, I called them around 6pm and said they were out but would have the next round ready at 7pm. I was intrigued so I ordered and waited outside. Brought home to camper and this was some pretty amazing fried chicken!! We were not disappointed at all! Awesome mashed potatoes and gravy as well.
Thanks again! Will be back when we come back this way!

Great little hole in the wall tavern. Cheap beer, some of the best fried chicken around, mashed potatoes are homemade and delicious. A lot of people love their wings, I found them to be drowned with to much sauce and small, not bad over all tho. Service is always nice, not the fastest but its not meant to be a fast paced place.

Fried 🐔 & those hot pepper cheese balls hit the spot! The lady behind bar was awesome! A great place to come again. And you can't beat the price!

The best fried chicken around! If you haven't tried SE Indiana style fried chicken, do yourself and favor and give St Leon Tavern a shot!

This place is our favorite place. Great food, atmosphere and the service is great!

Recommended by a customer of mine in the area. Took my 80 year old mom while we were in the area. Fried Chicken and fish was great and the onion rings and fries were good also. Great experience if you like small places.
