The service was so good here, they were running around helping each other with each table, they were so nice!
Made a few substitutions & they accommodated perfectly! The goetta was the best I’ve ever had-it was cooked perfectly!
Normally I like spicy sausage gravy but theirs wasn’t spicy—but it was still so flavorful! So good that I had to get more on the side to pour on my burrito haha. That took the burrito to a new level! Yum!!!
Reservations are recommended on weekends. We called at 8:30 and they got us in same day. Can’t wait to go back.

American Cheese Steak with onion rings was hot and delicious. The sandwich was a little larger than I expected. The onion rings were real onion rings not processed and seemed to be homemade. The sweet tea wasn't as sweet as I like it, but that's just a matter of personal taste. It won't keep me from going back. The server (sorry, i didn't get your name) was friendly and helpful. A+

Probably gonna start fitting Big Four into our usual trip for cherry thing-a-lings. Place was amazing. I would start by recommending making reservations. We called an hour ahead on our trip from Ohio and was able to get a reservation for 15 minutes after our requested time, which gave us time to check out the marketplace/antique shop across the street. Our server was Cameron and he was great throughout the entire meal(hot sauce tray, keeping drinks filled, keeping plates cleaned off, and ringing us out in a timely manner)

They had a hot sauce tray, which was amazing when it seems like you're lucky to get a choice of franks or Tabasco. They had hot ones xperience, still don't care for that flavor(i stock hot ones xxx at my house), so i went for this mad dog one they had. Food...so...much...food. You may think prices are a bit much, but it's a lot of food. Look at those pancakes😵‍💫, and that's just the double stack. Steak and eggs has a 2 finger thick ny strip. I tried the Hoosie croque for something different...yeah, i would get that again. And, so it seems like i'm not paid or influenced, I asked for my eggs to be sunny side up, but they were over easy. I mentioned to Cameron but wasn't worth sending back or giving any lower rating or review

What a gem of a cafe, hidden inside a remodeled old furniture factory.

The service here was impeccable. The food tasty and fresh. $70 fed six of us, not a bad value for breakfast.

The pancakes are huge! Chicken and waffles were very tasty. But the best dish is the breakfast quesadilla. 12.99 and loaded with meat and more. So damn tasty.

This is a destination restaurant, not just a place to eat when your in the area. Note: reservations are highly recommended.

WOW! What a treat! We stayed at The Sherman and asked where to get a good breakfast. The gentleman couldn't say enough about the place and I now agree.
The venue, staff, service, food and beverages are superb. I had to ask what Goetta was and I'm glad I did. We're from St. Louis and it's a Cincinnati thing. Look it up. I suggest you go out of your way to visit them.

When I showed up 20 minutes before closing I felt awful, but I HAD to try the place while I was in town and I'm so thankful that I did!
The gentlemen that served me were polite and eager to serve.
I ordered the chicken taco salad and it was phenomenal, big enough for two if I'm being honest and packed full of fresh ingredients.
The ambiance of the restaurant was very quaint, being housed in the refurbished RomWeber Furniture Company, the lights were dim, the music was a soft rock vibe that was perfect for me. I also had the luxury of being alone in the place, so I may be a little biased.

I always enjoy the food I get at Big Four and today was no exception. They're new menu item, Chicken Pot Pie, was absolutely delicious! Lots of chicken and veggies in a tasty gravy, topped with puff pastry makes for the perfect cold weather dish. I added a side salad and thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

If you are traveling from Bloomington, headed towards Cincinnati you will go through a town called Batesville. If you go through Batesville you must stop at the Big Four Cafè. Unfortunately, I am not on this route as often as I would like to be, but the meal that I had here stays on my mind more often than I would like to admit. Of course I’ve had chicken and waffles before and since, I’ve enjoyed them, but they have all blended together in banality. I remember every flavor of the Big Four’s Chicken and Waffles. My problem with this dish at most places is that they seem to have a specialty in either one or the other. They either have great chicken or they have great waffles. Never both. Big Four has both. It also has such an awesome location and a great staff. Don’t wait until you’re headed to Cincinnati, make the drive now.

The Big Four Cafe is a restaurant based upon remembering the Big Four Railroad that arrived in Batesville in the 1800's. The decor is based upon advertisements from the Big Four and I believe some of the other decor was restored from the original Big Four Tavern.

With that being said, the entrance in located between 2 buildings. There is not a lot of parking and the road is one-way. We managed to get the last parking spot when we went at 2:30 PM in the afternoon. I'm sure there is more parking somewhere.

It is a very different sort of environment and I enjoyed it. You can tell how much the chef cares because the food was almost to pretty to eat.

Be prepared for a little bit pricier of a meal. This may not be a place you want to bring your small children. But the Smoked Gouda Arancini - worth every penny.

The food was great and you get a lot for the price. The service was excellent, and the restaurant was clean and well laid out. It's best to call ahead and make a reservation, though, to ensure availability.

Being from out of town, I decided to try this place on the recommendation of a hotel worker from the hotel I was staying in a nearby small town. I am so glad I checked it out! It was a Sunday and I showed up at around 2:45p, about a quarter till closing time. I was greeted with a smile and promptly seated. My young waiter, Cameron, was friendly and outgoing, explained the menu from which I ordered breakfast. The food was fresh, hot, and excellent! I can’t say enough about the food, and or the service - both five stars in my books. If given the opportunity I will not hesitate to return. If you’re in the area give this place a try. You won’t regret it 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Tucked away in a neat old factory of some sort, my expectations were surpassed. I ordered the Gochujang Burger and it was AMAZING! Delicious fresh ground burger, topped with pulled pork, sweet slaw and a spicy Gochujang sauce. It was so amazing that after my wife tasted it, she ended up finishing it. I received in exchange a delicious BLT. I wouldn't normally order it, but this sandwich had ample bacon, tasty tomatoes and non-iceberg lettuce all on a local-made bun. This was a satisfying and yummy meal all while being served by friendly and cheerful staff

The food is great visually designed per serving and the food is great tasting! The prices for the food and drinks are reasonably priced also😊
My husband and our oldest kid and I went there on December 26th 2020 for brunch and food was great!

Great steak and service! Never ran out of a drink. Wasn't a huge fan of the fries that came with the steak, too garlicky. But the other fries that came with my grandsons grilled cheese were amazing!!
