Shady Motel

I would say probably the best place to stay in caliente Nevada. Not only are the owner's, some of the nicest people you will ever meet, They would also give you the shirt off their back. I have stayed here many times and have always been an amazing experience every time if you haven't stayed here yet, do it!

It’s a really good place to stay! Rooms were exactly what you need. As far as my experience: beds are firm but nice. Rooms and bathroom were clean.

A seemingly family-owned little gem of a motel in Caliente. It was a perfect location in a cute little town on our Nevada road trip. We arranged for an after-office-hours arrival and they were more than helpful to work with us. Super clean and nice accommodations.

Great little gem. We drove almost 9 hours yesterday south AZ heading to Idaho. We both got tired and was out of location to call without reservation. Amazing one room left, whew would stay here again.

This hotel is very clean and functional. Nothing fancy but a good dependable place to stay. We recommend it.

Very nice hotel, the room was spotless. The owner and the lady who checked us in at night were nothing but kind to us.

The rooms had no phones or hair dryers. But Nolan at the front desk was GREAT! He gave us a hair dryer to use and a bag of ice to put in our cooler in the morning since there's ran out.

The Shady is a Wonderful place to lay your head for a good night's rest.

I stayed here for two weeks, and although the town is small and there isn't too much to do, it's great! The atmosphere is cozy, the water gets hot fast and the pressure is great. Service is amazing, can't complain at all. If you're passing through this cute little town, I 100% recommend this place!

Very clean rooms and a nice breakfast layout of coffee and oatmeal but a very loud train that comes through four or five times a night across the street.

This is a well built hotels that the owner has take pride in maintaining. The workmanship was on point. It however is very basic no frills. The only negative thing I can say about my room was there are not enough outlets available or easy to get to for charging of small electronics. The staff/owner was very friendly and was a wealth of knowledge on the area. The location was great and I enjoyed being right across from the train tracks. We were able to walk to 2 places for good food. If I stay again in Caliente this is where it will be.

Definitely 5 stars!! Comfortable and clean room!! Check in lady had beautiful smile, great book to read in the room. Right in front of the railroad tracks, but very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely return. Checkout was quite simple.

The owner and his staff were super nice and accommodating. The rooms were very clean (I actually witnessed the owner sanitizing rooms when I arrived) and comfortable. Thick towels and nice bedding...especially the pillows! The property itself was clean and well maintained. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would.

Motel is conveniently located close to Kershaw-Ryan state park and Cathedral Gorge state park. **Super** nice and helpful staff. It snowed the night before, front desk swept the snow from our car, checked weather report for us and gave us lots of tips. We had to cancel another stay due to winter storm warning and he was so understanding. We also enjoyed Knotty Pine restaurant recommended by front desk which is almost next door.

Being raised in a BnB, you learn quickly what acceptable and what's not. This place is a HIDDEN GEM!! Took a weekend get away with the family and didn't expect our hotel to anything great. Thus place is AMAZING. Clean, quiet beds are comfy, I have a bad back so they were a tiny bit too hard for me. But DONT let that be a bad thing, the showers and specifically the shower head they offer is A DREAM!!! The whole room was VERY nice, easy parking, easy access, but the shower head!! I wanna go back just for that alone! Lol, promise you will definitely enjoy your stay!!

Front desk staff were friendly at checkin, and when asking for additional amenities. Clean room without any blemish. Staff there cleaned the room and did a turndown daily while we were out and about. Really great little Motel in the heart of a historic little city. Within Walking distance of Tourist areas, places to eat, and a gas station. Very much enjoyed my stay at this Motel.

Very nice and clean place to rent a room .

Great place to stay if you are in Caliente. It was a huge room with plenty of extra space. Only problem was that it was lacking an outlet for my CPAP machine. The desk clerk was a big help showing me it hiding behind the end table.
