They sell knowledge. They're convenient, and helpful. Not afraid to say they don't know if they don't. 40 years I've been shopping there. So price is a minor factor. They'll help you save time, and avoid disappointment.

Whenever I need something quick they usually have what I need and the people who work there are just super nice.

This place is such a gem- the owners/workers are knowledgeable, helpful, and usually have what I need. If they don't, they have great suggestions for a work around. I am not naturally gifted in the diy department, so coming here is so much better than a big box store.

Absolutely, hands-down, the BEST hardware store around. Rick and his whole team are extremely knowledgeable and don't hesitate to give their customers the personalized help they may be looking for. Pompton Lakes has been undergoing a business and arts renaissance and I have no doubt in my mind that a big part of it has been due to all the folks at R&M Hardware. They have everything you would need, both as a diy homeowner or as a larger contractor. You can't go wrong shopping here!

Great staff with very good knowledge when looking for recommendations. Hours are actually pretty good for a local store and it's nice not having to deal with chaotic crowds when shopping.

A great place to shop locally. They have assisted me numerous times with home repairs. You can rarely get that one on one serivce at a home depot or lowes
