Saddle River Cafe

Excellent food, large portions (if you're coming from NYC), and friendly staff. My favorite was the day's pesto and burrata flatbread. The staff was very attentive.

The food here is just amazing. The tuna taco appetizers are the best tacos I’ve ever had…and I’ve been to many local, fresh-off-the-boat owner taco places. The Octopus appetizer was also delicious. Guac was great. Cafe Lobster Roll was good, fried that came with it were perfectly crispy.

FANTASTIC. The Asian steak noodle bowl was wonderful. It was cooked absolutely perfectly. Which is quite an accomplishment, because it's a thin slice of skirt steak. Kudos to the staff in the kitchen! Noodles were perfect consistency.

The Sesame tuna was outstanding. The bread pudding was awesome! Service was great, and the staff could not have been nicer.

Saddle River Cafe has a large selection of healthy meals and juices. They have a juice flights made right there and they are all delicious. This place was cleaned and the food was superb. I recommend this place to anyone in the area or just passing by. I wasn't disappointed, although when I was first looking for a place this was not my first choice. Now it's among my top choices.

Great for breakfast/brunch. We had a really nice brunch here on a rainy Sunday morning. There is both inside seating and a covered patio so it's good for all weather (easy to park as well).
We enjoyed the huevos rancheros special which was so flavorful and served in a neat ceramic dish. We were also very pleasantly surprised by how good the short stack pancakes were - they were light & delicate but also sweet and with the syrup were just perfect. "Simple but effective" definitely.
The inside is modern and clean with lots of plant decor. There is nice spacing between tables so we didn't feel crowded.
Overall, I would highly recommend for breakfast. The menu selection is a little limited (only 1 sweet option: pancakes) and portions at first look small but actually everything hits the spot and we left feeling full.

A great cozy gem!!! This Cafe is beautifully decorated, ambiance invites you to stay and enjoy the delicious plates, bowls, desserts and coffees they offer. It's really nice to have brunch here. They have vegetarian( you can add protein if you like, such a corn beef or chicken) and gluten free options. Staff is amazing, really friendly and attentive. Food was excellent, well prepared with an exquisite flavor.

The food was very tasteful in a simplistic way. The manager Anthony was extremely professional and welcoming. The setting was unique in a modern open floor plan. I had the spinach omelet, tuna tacos & my favorite was the salmon toast presented in a charcuterie board style. Pricing was fair. I will definitely revisit this establishment.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise! Chic decor, healthy food, attentive service - perfectionism at its best! I could tell the owner is a pro, asked the waiter who it is and of course, it’s the chef owner of Saddle River Inn. He has always surpassed our expectations at SRI and wowed here too. My only feedback would be to add more pescatarian/vegetarian lunch options to the menu, right now most items are breakfast items with egg. But starting from next week, they’ll be serving dinner and the dinner menu looked yummy! I would go back to try the veggie burger, wish they had it on their lunch menu. Overall, a true hidden gem that reminded me of California - Berkeley’s locally sourced healthy cafes. Well done!

Had to share my review as we had a unique reservation request and Anthony who I spoke to was super helpful! We had family visit from out of state, and everyone enjoyed the brunch. I got the juice flight which was super fresh, as all the food was, and presentation was on point for everyone's meal. Truffle fries and old bay fries were a hit. We had 6 kids with us too and we were never rushed or felt uncomfortable with our larger party. Food was fantastic and so was the service! Will absolutely go back again. It was pretty packed for a weekend brunch, so I suggest a reservation.

We really enjoy going here for brunch. They have an outdoor eating section. It is a BYOB. The food is very fresh and they have a variety of options. The coffee is great and the juices are very fun. This is a great place for a Saturday or Sunday afternoon brunch. The service is also excellent. I highly recommend it.

This past weekend we had my daughter's bridal shower on the patio. From the moment we got there to the very last minute of the event, the staff was absolutely amazing. The tables were arranged as we had discussed and it was all hands on deck setting up the table settings and dessert table. Throughout the shower the staff was incredibly attentive to the guests.....filling drinks, bringing food and attending to any other requests. Most
important of all is that the food was delicious. Can't wait to come back with my husband !

Saddle River Inn NEVER disappoints. I couldn’t get a reservation online because they were fully booked, but they accommodated me when I called. This place is so special and magical. The food experience is out of this world. I have never had a simple dish. Everything on the menu has layers and layers of flavor, texture, depth and presentation.

Service was great...staff was friendly. Chef made Cod with a sweet not too spicy sauce on a swoosh of mashed sweet potato with vegetables. Loved it... Cod was perfectly done... will even try this at home. Thank you to the waitress was really sincerely kind and gracious and the new colleg student staff waitress who was friendly in speaking with me while I waited for service. A great place, ambience is one of a clean clutterless design and airy. Good place to sit, think, eat

Food is exceptional and the staff is kind. A bit pricey esp for random stuff like fries and smoothies. I go when I want a treat and some nice time to chill in a place with good vibes. Highly recommended.
