Atsion Mansion

The mansion is gorgeous. The signs give an excellent description of what it has and looked like during the 1800's. . The building unfortunately was closed when we were there. To the left of the mansion is what appears to have been a barn or a garage.
The parking is ample, all dirt except the two handicap spaces. There are hiking trails, and on the opposite side of 206, there is a large lake for swimming, picking, and more hiking.

I am an avid history buff and I just went on this tour of the mansion last night. My group and I had a FANTASTIC time. Nick, the guide was REALLY AMAZING and soooo knowledgeable regarding the history of the family and the house. His descriptions were riveting and I will be buying tickets to take the tour again. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that anyone that loves history, architecture, or just a GREAT STORY should ABSOLUTELY take this tour. A truly enjoyable and enthralling experience.

Awesome place to ride a bike in the winter time. You can spend hours here riding around and enjoying the sites. I was just out during the week and didn't see else on the trails. Be sure to dress warm and bring a snack. There is a map in the parking lot so you can plan out where you want to bike or hike. All trails are marked as well so you don't get lost.

We went on the tour of the Mansion the guide was extremely knowledgeable personable and friendly. I enjoyed hearing the history of the house and the surrounding area

Built in 1826 by Samuel Richards as a summer home. Richards was the owner of the nearby Atsion Iron Furnace.
On certain days of the year, tours of the mansion are held by the State Parks Dept. There's not a whole lot to see inside of the mansion, but the architecture and history make it worth the visit!

Ideal trail head for what seems like an endless variety of trails for hiking and biking. Parking right off route 206.

This is a great place to visit when you want to spend some time outside. This place is good for a family.trip with children. There are spots around here to fish, hike, bike, and canoe.

Beautiful area and worth checking out for Pines lovers. The Mullica River trail is awesome.
