Spira Care Lee's Summit

I have been extremely pleased with Spira Care in Lee's Summit. Each member of the staff has been wonderful. Facility was clean and up to date. I feel as though I have made more headway in my healthcare this year by leaps and bounds. Communication has also been spectacular.

I changed my review from two stars to five because of the nurse practitioner Stephanie Betsworth. She is wonderful and I hope they hang on to her. She is a treasure! She made me feel heard. She believes me about having fibromyalgia and is doing everything she can to help me with arthritis etc. I absolutely will be back because of her especially. She really listens, cares, and does whatever possible to help.

The nurse practitioner Stephanie Betsworth was great, very thorough. I really appreciate how they are always on time for an appointment. Everyone there is really nice.

All of my experiences at Lee’s Summit Spira Care have been positive. My wife and I see Dr. Booth, she is very kind, down to earth, and knowledgeable. I have had great experiences with the nurses as well. They offer many other services here as well. They have psychological therapists here, as well as life coaches. I would recommend this clinic to my loved ones.

I've had SpiraCare for just over a year now. I began with Dr. Patel, who was the first doctor to look at me and take me seriously. When she switched locations I was devastated, but had a couple nurse practitioners who filled in until the new female doctor was up & running. The nurse practitioners were both incredibly kind, though virtual visits bouncing between providers before you get a new one can have a negative impact. However, its just crazy times right now & everyone truly did their best to make me feel heard. I landed with Dr. Booth and my first visit with her was very calming. She started off with a smile, despite my immediate worries coming in for my symptoms. The front staff has always been kind. Every scheduler and nurse on the nurse lines have responded to me quickly and with respect and I am definitely not used to having such kind voices so consistently through the office. When I first got the insurance I was worried about leaving my long term PCP & starting over but they made the transition easy & have provided so much covered care, up to and including mental health care with their counselor on a couple occasions - which was so immensely helpful and I was shocked we get that for free with the insurance.
All in all, not everyone will like every place but I think everyone here really does try their best to manage patient care effectively and kindly and I've always felt safe here, both in person and virtually. BTW, that office is really pretty inside.

The Lees Summit office is so clean! During normal times, it has water, coffee and snacks!
The front desk staff are very welcoming, and the nurses are wonderful.
Dr Duke is knowledgeable, professional, kind, and I feel I’m treated like a person not just a patient. He always has time to listen to any concerns I have, and clearly explains what I need to know. Highly recommend this office and Doctor!

I just signed up for Spira Care in my 2020 open enrollment and checked the reviews afterwards. I must say I was very impressed with my wellness visit. Everything was top notch. I visited Dr. Duke on his first day at the facility and he was a very good listener and not judge mental, and very understanding. I am almost hesitant to leave a good review because I want all this goodness to myself.

I think all the bad reviews come from the folks that visited this place prior to it being fully staffed. I am very inquisitive and asked all the questions you want to know. They had planned for 5,000 participants in the beginning and were overwhelmed with 26,000. Appointments not an issue from what I experienced. Top notch service and left there feeling great about the visit. I do recommend.

Our experience at this location was wonderful. They were kind, thorough, patient and made sure everything was clearly explained to me and my 12 year old. It was honestly some of the best care I've ever received. The environment and all the staff we encountered were so welcoming and inclusive. I'm very happy with our switch to Spira Care so far and have had no issues making an appointment or talking to a representative to ask questions .

I was very apprehensive about switching to Spira Care when the option became available with my employer during open enrollment. Changing doctors is always difficult, but so far this has been by far the best experience I've had with medical practices.

My initial visit to establish care was the most thorough appointment I've ever encountered. I was not rushed, and everyone at the office took time to get to know me, and make sure I had all my questions answered and all concerns addressed.

I had medication that needed to be refilled, and a referral made to an outside provider. Everything was taken care of for me. I showed up at the other provider, and all of my information was provided. I didn't even have to provide an insurance card, as they already had it all in the system. I also had a small issue with a medication change, but have received prompt replies and a follow up call to talk about possible cost saving options.

I could go on and on, but overall the level of care that Spira provides is awesome. I not only have access to the doctors, but the Care Guides, and Health Coaches they have on staff are all amazing to provide support and really look out for me as a patient.

My husband, three kids and I have been with Spiracare for over a year, it is THE BEST doctors I have been to. I never feel rushed, always feel heard, and helped. All doctors and nurses have been wonderful at the Lees summit office. I tell all my friends that if they have a choice, to go with Spiracare.

Incredibly pleased with the care provided to me at this location. I was optimistic about this facility and my expectations were exceeded on my first visit. The location is clean, modern, and laid out efficiently. I met with a knowledgeable doctor, who listened to everything I had to say and provided good follow up in establishing a plan to address any issues I have. I interacted with several other people during my visit including the "care guide" which is essentially a patient advocate, a nurse who did my blood work and shots, and was even visited by a health coach who offered to help me with any health goals I had for 2019.

Everyone was incredibly friendly, happy, and sincere. My appointment was thorough and I am very confident that Spiracare will continue to exceed my expectations for my medical care moving forward.

As a heads up, appointment scheduling can be tricky given the facility being new and many people are all trying to use it at once so being flexible when scheduling is helpful but this is something that I hope Spiracare continues to monitor as they plan and build other locations.

I had a very bad experience I was suppose to be there at 7:45 so I thought...turns out my appt was at 7:30. I arrived at 7:40 thanking I was 5 mins early. I couldn't find the location tucked behind a sports store in a shopping district, so I circled the parking lot twice then upon entering I had to wait about 5-7 minutes for the receptionist to finish with another patient which included escorting him to his room. Finally when attempting to check me in I was told I WAS LATE, there is a 10 min grace period which obviously didn't apply to me. And they wanted me to waste my time and reschedule to come back to see Dr. Booth. I feel my time is just as valuable as yours, it was a heavy thunderstorm, your location wasn't the easiest to find, and lord forbid you have to wait for another patient to be checked in....these things will unknowingly impact your 10 min grace period but "who cares Spira definitely don't" I personally want nothing else to do with this company.
Update....
1/19/22 Spira Care kept reaching out to me, and apologized for all the misunderstanding...therefore I went back, and have been helped tremendously so I'm going to put the bad experience behind me, it's a new year, and bigger and brighter thing's are happening and most importantly "FORGIVE". Since being there for personal care I've been amazed with the quality of care I've received and how professional the entire staff has been and I'm thrilled to have them as my quality care professionals.

I had a very positive experience from check-in to check-out. It was a very clean office, everyone was amazingly friendly, and Dr. Booth was wonderful. I felt very welcomed and respected.

First time my husband and I had visited Spira here in Lee Summit.
Everyone was kind,efficient.
Dr. Duke was very patient, caring and an amazing listener.

I had an appointment here in February with a Nurse Practitioner. The reception area was fast & professional. The Nurse Practitioner and Doctor were very informative. I liked the fact the exam room had a cushioned bench and table which was nice to meet & speak with them and fill out paperwork.

Great visit, in and out. Professional staff in every aspect.

The nicest people work there. Professional, caring, and helpful. Everything is clean and fresh. Highly recommend.

Shelley (NP) was very thorough and I did not feel rushed during my appt. She addressed all concerns and listened! I did have to wait approx 1 month to get in, but it was worth the wait. Great experience and concept! Thank you!!
