Genesis Health Clubs - Lee's Summit

Great staff! Great facility and great location! The convenience of sauna, steam room and protein/smoothie bar all in a great gym was such an easy decision. I’ve been a gym goer for years but actually feel like Genesis has motivated me to tap into a next level of fitness within myself.

Updated: After weeks of waiting...they came through! Went from "not having room" for the new belt squat to having it tucked nicely into the corner. Wonderful surprise. I'm changing my rating from a 2 to a 5 for correcting the issue, but mostly for Cody's follow up and encouragement. His power lifting event, which I supported, funded the new equipment, made a huge difference in the gym, and showed a level of dedication I've not experienced. Thank you, Cody!

Old Review for reference: Participated/paid into in a fundraising event to get a new piece of equipment at the gym (belt squat). Successful event, very profitable, coordinated by Cody, who is a great asset to the gym. I’m being told by the manager there that there’s no room for a new machine and I’m wondering where all of that money went. There’s a gym two blocks away that has a belt squat. Myself and three others are considering changing gyms just for better equipment. Paying a premium for a gold/platinum level genesis location that refuses to add paid for equipment isn’t making sense to me at this time.

I’ve been a member at this gym for 3 years now. I have to say that it is objectively the best gym in lee’s summit. The equipment is amazing with lots of variety, lots of amenities to enjoy, cleanliness is taken into account, (I understand that’s a huge factor for some people) and the staff here are always friendly and treat their members like family. Sure, the membership prices are a little more expensive, but from what I’ve learned, you get what you pay for. No joke, the bad reviews are one, people who go into a gym with their expectations through the roof and find the smallest things to complain about and 2, people who sign on contracts they know they can’t pay for. Genesis from my experience with gyms has probably the most legit membership contracts out there in the health club industry. Month to month or 12 months. If you’re looking to get the biggest bang for your buck with a gym, this place is worth every penny for you to achieve your fitness goals.

Amazing staff, great facilities! Pool, hot tub steam room, sauna, showers, locker room! The Manager- Clement, is great; goes above and beyond for his customers as well as staff! Definitely worth a try!

The gym is typically pretty busy, but even with that being said the machines and equipment I want for a particular workout are always open. It’s always clean and they have the best cardio area in lees summit.

Traveling for work so just stopped in for a day. Great gym and even better atmosphere. Brandon was especially helpful with any need I had during my visit. Highly recommend.

Genesis Lee’s Summit is by far my favorite gym in the KC area. Clean, organized, newer equipment, fantastic staff, great locker room, good sauna. Super solid gym.

I go to about 4 genesis locations and this one is by far my favorite! Nicest weights for leg day

Amya and aamirah were both up front today and they just bring some much positivity into the gym when you first walk in. They are always wonder to see and talk to and both make the best shakes. If you want a shake ask them !

This is one of the best locations in the area by far. Staff and management are amazing. Always clean and offers a lot of equipment for my bodybuilding program.

I’ve been coming to Genesis here in kee summit for about 5 months and the service and friendliness of the staff is always great. They are very knowledgeable about the gym and the different programs they offer. But most of all I got TREMENDOUS service from AUSTIN. HE WAS AMAZING.

I've been here for two years. Greatest gym I've ever been. I put sweat and lifted weights in this gym. Greatest and friendliest staff I've ever met.

I have been a part of a few gyms in the area, however this has been one of my favorites. One of the biggest reasons for that is at this time in life, knowing we have a great area for our kids is very important. Both of my kids have loved coming to the kids club!! They always look forward to coming and that is a direct reflection and thanks to the staff!! All the staff are so wonderful! Big shoutout to Allison for having things run so smoothly and activities for the kids! My son particularly is always excited getting to see Amel and Adam and he always has a great time! They treat him great and not having to worry about my kids while I’m working out helps me enjoy my time more! Most definitely recommend the kids club here!

They have been so helpful and nice since I started here in Dec. I thought I would be intimidated by a big gym but it’s honestly ok.

Staff are sweet (Amira and Ori), haven’t had any problems referred a few people to Genesis. been here almost a year and like the location and equipment.

Not to be cliche, but this gym has changed my life, I’ve been going every day since i got my membership. What really keeps me coming back is the staff, and the steam room & sauna for the post workout.

I love this gym, my second home🙌🏼 I have met so many great people that keep me motivated!! 💖💕✨

The upgrades are pretty amazing and the staff is always so great. Very kind and helpful. I do wish we would get tennis / pickleball courts so I don't have to go to other gyms but I really enjoy the pool and fitness classes offered. Thank you for the variety of workout options and connecting with members!
