Excellent service, delivery was ontime and the delivery guys were perfect. We purchased the king latex bed. Huge difference sleeping the first night, slept great. And you can flip it. Sleeps cool. Our last 3 mattresses were from furniture mart and twice the price and only last 5 years
Would much rather spend my money local.

Our overall experience with Hawn Bedding did not disappoint. We are repeat customers, and really enjoy their mattresses. Adam Pinder worked with us this time. He was patient and professional, showing us multiple mattresses and taking the time to explain the benefits of sleeping on each one. He truly cares about what you need and went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information required to make the right decision in purchasing our mattress.

We ended up purchasing the Extra Firm Super Orthopedic. After sleeping on the mattress for 3 weeks, we found it to be too firm, which was no fault of Adam's. When we informed him that we would like to exchange the mattress for one that is less firm, Adam graciously made the exchange, even making suggestions to help create a custom fit to meet our needs. At no time were we made to feel as though our request was unreasonable or impossible.

The delivery team has great communication, and arrived promptly at the scheduled times of delivery. They were both informative about mattress care and warranty, and very professional.

We recently purchased a mattress there. Our backs were killing us. Adam assisted us and we got one to fit our needs. The mattresses are made there. Delivery was also good. The staff did a great job and took it upstairs for us. They also took the old mattress. No more back pain!

Not Counting Sheep- I had heard of Hawn Bedding Company as long as I can remember but had never tried them until recently. With such a long standing history in the area, I thought, "Why not?". My purchase took place at the Lee's Summit location. During my first visit two weeks ago, I spoke to a long time employee that explained the construction of the bed as well as the history of the company. I walked away feeling sure of my future purchase. This past Tuesday I returned to purchase my box spring and mattress. I expected the three day wait time for delivery as it was explained to me before. Instead, the salesman said, "Oh no, you can have your bed delivered tomorrow." I was shocked. He explained that it would be built that day and delivered the next. He pointed to the window in the factory, and showed me the spring frame that would soon be my bed! The set was delivered the next day by two great guys that were polite and took their time to explain the rotation and flip of the mattress and how often it should occur. They referred me to the website as well as informing me of other details I needed to know to extend the life of my mattress. The end result? It was the best sleep I've had in years. No need to count sheep anymore!

They make locally and are on 3rd generation family-owned business. You can still flip the mattress and high quality. Awesome beds. Better people.

Superior products and service. We purchased our mattress from Hawn Bedding Co. over one year ago. We could not be more satisfied with our purchase. From the beginning we were greeted by knowledgeable staff and they helped us select an ideal bedding set. The mattresses may be flipped therefore extending the life. Don't anticipate we will need to purchase another mattress soon, but if we do, it will definitely be from Hawn!

We have been looking for mattresses that will flip .and not just rotate.We were able to find these mattress at Hawn Bedding.The salesman was very knowledgeable about the mattresses and. also very friendly.the store was very clean,and the salesman explained the different levels of firmness to us, and he explained how each mattress is made specific yo our needs and wants. we will definitely choose Hawn when purchase our next mattress set.

I have bought mattresses from Hawn Bedding for years. First mattresses I bought from them in 1972, over the years I have purchased many mattresses, twin size, full size, queen size, I find them comfortable and durable. Last year my wife bought a king sized mattress for another manufacturer it was supposed to be the best mattress ever, after about one year it was compressed, it was like sleeping in a hole. Last week we went to the Hawn Bedding factory and ordered two extra long twin mattresses to replace the king sized she bought, I like firm she likes soft, we will pick up our new custom made mattress Monday, we are so excited to get the best mattresses made. The same guy who sold me the first mattress in 1972 sold me our new mattresses 48years later talk about consistency.

Hawn Bedding is the only place to buy a mattress. I bought my first Hawn mattress when I needed a King size waterbed replacement mattress, we have slept on it for 16 years. So we decided it was time for a new mattress. So I called Hawn & told them it was time for a new mattress. So I searched the website, clicked on product line, I basically decided on a Latex mattress. The man working the showroom that day says springs cause pressure points. So no springs, the cheaper foundation & a Soft Latex mattress. They delivered today, & took my old mattress & foundation, that a church will get to hand to a person or a family that needs a mattress. How wonderful is that? I recommend Hawn Bedding very highly, they have been in business almost 100 years. They have been in the Kansas City area all of the time. They make the mattresses right @ the location of their showroom. Great family, great employees that delivered my mattress. I asked for the last stop of the day, and the worked it out just like that. The man that sold me my mattress, said we will do anything to make the customer happy. All the employees I have talked to all have great knowledge of the mattresses they sell. I love my new mattress. I ordered the Aspen firm about 2 months ago. I am very pleased with the mattress and even more pleased with the customer service, great communication.

We had our adjustable King Latex bed from Hawn for 9 years. We loved it. I called Bill and he suggested that we have it refurbished for a fraction of the cost of a new mattress. We did. Now we have a "new" King Latex adjustable mattress for the next nine years. By refurbishing it, we saved us over $1,000. We are very very happy and pleased with our mattress and the kind service from Hawn Bedding.

I am a 55 year old female. When I was in 4th grade m aunt had back surgery and was told to go to Hawn Bedding and have an orthopedic mattress made and sleep on it. When I was 14, I got my own room and I got the mattress. Loved it! My aunt had a twin made. When I married my husband in 1991 he bought us a gorgeous bed from 1850 and they didn't make them any standard size. Head to Hawn! Custom super orthopedic mattress and box springs. My daughter (who is now 32) started sleeping on the orthopedic from my childhood and grew up on it.
Called today after seeing the commercials telling me to replace my mattress every 8 years. I was told that if my mattress was not wet, didn't have dents, wasn't torn, etc. that it was still good. I also found out approximately what a new mattress would cost and I was expecting so much more! I grew up with Hawn just about my whole life. You cannot beat the experience I and my family have had. Would recommend them to anyone for a custom mattress or orthopedic!!!

I purchased 2 mattresses and one was not working. They took it and brought another and is perfect. Their service is amazing. Would always use them and no other.

We love the latex mattress they make. Our best investment in a long time. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Quick construction and pick-up or delivery. These folks make your mattress after ordering it, it isn't on a shelf waiting.

These guys take all the gimmicks out of buying a mattress! Hawn mattresses are made and sold in Lee's Summit, MO. No layers of this foam, and that fancy stuff, and whatever else the other manufacturers use. Hawn mattresses are 2 sided, and when properly turned and rotated they say the mattress should last 20 years. They also use a slightly heavier gauge spring in the weight bearing area of the matress as well as around the outside to maintain even support throughout the life of the mattress.
After enjoying our queen mattress for 2.5 years without any noticeable wear or sags, we just bought a king from Hawn! We will continue to use the queen set in a guest room.

Best mattress ever had mine over 20 years may need new one now but anytime I have guests they sleep in my bed and truly., everyone says Wow. You're bed is really comfortable! Yep best bed ever.

We just purchased our fourth mattress from here. I have just got to say," best night sleep ever!" I would recommend to anyone. They had us a custom made mattress within a timely fashion. I could not believe how fast they were.

Sales employee was very informative and helpful. The delivery guys helped my husband load old mattress into our pickup. Very courteous delivery guys. Would reccomend Hawn.

Hawn has been making quality mattresses in Kansas City for, well, a long time. You can even get double-sided mattresses that flip over. These are extremely rare these days. This type of mattress is more expensive to build so national manufacturers have all but abandoned them. Plus being able to flip the mattress as well as rotate it extends the life of the mattress - again bad business practice for the national brands. And shopping at family-owned Hawn Bedding doesn't feel like going to a sleazy used car dealer. If you are in the market for a mattress, shop local. Shop quality.
