Lee's Summit City Public Works

I want to give a shout out to the Lee's Summit Public Works crew who recently came out and worked on the Alley that runs behind my property and several others in downtown Lee's Summit. There were numerous very large holes from the trash trucks that drive through here using it as a shortcut through the neighborhood. It is not paved and was never designed for those huge trucks and it causes problems . I noticed a neighbor dumping trash and construction debris in the holes to fill them . Really??? I called the city and the next day a crew came out and dug the trash out and filled the holes properly plus they leveled and filled the ruts caused by the trucks that ran the length of my property in back. That area looks so much better and it will be lot easier to mow now. They did a great job fixing the alley surface. Thank you, guys!! We appreciate you in this neighborhood!!

I wanted to give a great shout out to the LS public works! My driveway curb started to deteriorate this winter, making it difficult to drive my car up the curb (car sits low). I contacted LS public works via email on a Wednesday. The very next day, an associate assessed my curb and contacted me back on the plan to correct. Within a week from my email, my curb had a temporary asphalt patch. The LS public works also noticed some concerns with our neighborhood roads and patched multiple pot holes while in the neighborhood. I greatly appreciate their quick response and quick remedy to the situation. I am fortunate to work in a city that takes their citizens concerns seriously. Thank you all!

I want to compliment the Wiedenmann Construction for their excellent work in replacement of water lines in my neighborhood. They were careful, considerate and very cooperative. I was impressed and I'm extremely pleased with the result, including replacing concrete and sod. Thank you for a job well done.

I got my skateboard stuck in a storm drain and as trivial as it is, the workers took the time out of their day to get the skateboard out of a water drain even though it was on private property. I was extremely lucky to have them help me

Do not. Ask one cholie. Who drove truck 708 to not put snow directly in front of where you have bulk pick up ,that I say the city does not offer ,anyway not ask on count apparantly she does not truly know how to plow. But definitely do not ask her to move the snow .she will not finish her job, I guess our employees determine what and how they want do t the job or not even finish the job.

Can not meet their own goals. Put on bottom of list.
