I rented from these people for a few years. Over the years, I sometimes would need maintenance. Once I got a hold of them, they were pretty on top of it. Only problem I ever had was that every time I called the office, I wasn't able to get anyone on the phone. I always had to text or email. I just bought a house and got my deposit back no problem. Overall, I'm very happy with Sunburst and would recommend them

For starters, they dont answer their phone. I called multiple times with no answer. I saw for rent signs around the city but couldnt find anything online so I had to go in. I walked in and the girl at the front was rude. She didnt welcome me at all and made me feel super uncomfortable. I told her I tried to call and she cut me off to say "did you leave a message" ... I told her the mailbox was full and I was unable. I proceeded to ask about units for rent and someone else said theyd help. I went into her office and asked her about them and told her I couldnt find their site. She said they dont have a site she just lists her properties on zillow. I checked zillow and hotpads there were no listings, still no listings. I checked the neighborhoods again and its been about a month.. The for rent signs are still out. I am a property owner and I would never use them as a property management company. Extremely unprofessional.

I am extremely disappointed in my experience working with Sunburst property in Blue Springs . I had planned for months to take over someone's lease and had been in communication with who I believe is the property manager and was told that things would be fixed before moving in. The day that we signed our lease we were so excited only to be quickly let down. She was out of office so we signed our lease with the billing/finance woman. She told me to send an e-mail to Emily with a list of what needed to be fixed. She advised to put it all in one e-mail as the move-in checklist sheet gets put into a file but is not used. I did as I was told and told Emily that I would like many things fixed/cleaned and expressed that I was disappointed in the condition of the unit and was shocked that this was considered move in ready. She responded to my e-mail only saying, "Please return your keys to my office & pick up your funds, we will terminate the lease." I couldn't believe that 1 hour after picking up my keys we were already going to terminate the lease.

Please see attached photos of how the unit looked when I first received the keys. A few things we asked for - the burned out light bulb to be replaced (you get charged if you leave it this way, so why would we receive it like this?), broken glass around a lightbulb in a bedroom, a hole to be covered in the basement door that lets cold/warm air in from the garage, the fence is broken (but they said they wouldn't fix it), the deck was falling apart (they'd replace it after they get some bids), the basement bathroom floor is pealing, the towel rack is completely rusted. We were in no rush to get these things fixed, we knew we could live with these things but we did not appreciate the way we were treated so we happily brought the keys back and terminated the lease.

Rental company was a waste. Time and time again they had to come to the unit to fix things. And it was never fixed properly. A/C went out in 102 degree weather and it was like pulling teeth to get someone to understand how urgent it was to get it fixed. Took them 3 days! Had to find somewhere to stay and take my dog to ensure he didn't get sick from the heat. Would use the cheapest maintance ways but charged me an arm and leg for things damaged while living there. My roof leaked abd they did nothing about it but charged me for replacing the carpets and i had them professionally cleaned. The gentleman who ran it was super unprofessional when expressing concerns. Would not recommend to anyone who appreciates a good landlord.
