St Matthew Lutheran Preschool

Our granddaughter attended St. Matthew Lutheran Preschool for three years. All of her teachers were excellent and prepared her well for entering kindergarten this year. The staff are wonderful with children, the facilities are clean and bright, and there are occasional field trips (Pumpkin Patch in the Fall) and various special events throughout the year (muffins with Moms, donuts with Dads, Thanksgiving luncheon). Outdoor playground is nice and when the weather is extreme the kids can play in the gym. Chapel services are held regularly and give children the opportunity to learn about Jesus. If you are looking for an affordable preschool which provides a loving, Christian environment, we highly recommend St. Matthew Lutheran Preschool in Lee’s Summit.

St Matthews Preschool has been so wonderful for my son! He has learned so much in such a short amount of time. The staff is friendly and my son loves going to school. You can tell the teachers genuinely care about their kiddos and they go above and beyond!

I cannot begin to describe the family that St. Matthew was for our family during our children’s preschool years. The teachers, all of whom were mothers themselves, helped to give our children the very best “first school” experience. The play-based curriculum was both developmentally appropriate and great at preparing our kids for kindergarten. Additionally, the teachers poured into me as a mom and helped to connect families, creating friendships outside of school as well. The Christ-centered way of communicating, teaching, and resolving conflicts was a perfect fit for our family.

We love St Matthews! We’ve been there for 5 years now with 2 of our children and can’t recommend them enough! Teachers are all amazing! They create such a great atmosphere where parents feel comfortable leaving their kids there! A great mix of fun and learning!

We absolutely love this preschool. The staff and teachers are like family, and they love and care for and educate with such compassion and intention. I always recommend St. Matthew’s Preschool to my Lee’s Summit mom friends. Can’t say enough good things about the school and the teachers.

Not only has our daughter learned so much academically and biblically during her time at St Matthew, but the teachers are so intentional in building a relationship with students and families. Both years her teachers (and the director!) have been so easy to communicate with, keep us updated with daily happenings in the classroom and go above and beyond to make sure learning is fun! Highly recommend St Matthew to anyone looking for a fun, affordable preschool experience for their little one!

We have loved everything about this preschool. I was nervous to send our son anywhere, as he’s never been away from me. But we decided to send him part time to start and he LOVES it. He asks to go every single day of the week, and constantly tells me how much he loves his teachers and his new friends. Most, if not all, of their activities are hands on. And I’ve even seen such an improvement at home with how he wants to learn and explore. We can’t recommend this place enough!

We love St. Matthew Preschool! With their emphasis on play, the teachers make learning FUN for my kids. They are excited to go to school each day and can’t wait to tell me about what they learned and what they did when I pick them up. I know they will be well-prepared for kindergarten.

We absolutely love St Matthew’s Preschool, it’s nerve wracking entrusting your kid to others but our child has thrived there. Every area of his education there is so intentional, not just academics but also helping him catch up on social skills he was lacking due to covid isolation. His teachers are so loving and patient and really pour into him as an individual and partner with us to help him grow. I love that they are all about messy hands on fun as well because he loves that. We actually were referred to them by a teacher from a different preschool and I think that says a lot. Not only that but they’re more affordable than others we considered. I can’t say enough good things about them.

Seriously the best part time preschool in Lees Summit. Well educated and caring staff. I have had two kiddos attend the school for multiple years each. Highly recommend this great little preschool.

This is the first year our child goes to this pre school and it has been incredible! She absolutely loves it and always wants to go more. Her friends are all great and teachers have been beyond any expectations we had. Would absolutely recommend this pre school for a child.

St. Matthew’s is a wonderful preschool that has successfully prepared all 3 of my kids for kindergarten. Great program and great teachers!
