A really diverse area with tons of different ecosystems and areas! The native hoofed wildlife area was always fun as a kid, as were the surrounding ponds. The wetlands are one of my favorite areas, with tons of turtles and aquatic life even in the cold of winter. The lake itself is home to a slew of animals, with cricket frogs even making an appearance on rocky beaches. The dam is also a semi-arid area, with people often seeing warmth-loving collared lizards there in the warmer months! Can't wait to go back during spring!

These lakes are outstanding, even just to tour the area from the car. The two bridges and other parking lots provide vistas over the water. There are some nature lookout points that were closed which we will return to. I don’t know what that old huge house is for.

Got my kayak passes no issues. I mean, they do a good job of keeping the lake clean and my family enjoys our time on the water.

Came here for a family gathering. The picnic tables and grill were nice. The playground equipment was great for the kids. Actual bathrooms with running water would be a welcome improvement, but the porta potties were adequate. Would recommend if you're looking for a place to have a get together with a decent number of people.

Right in front of the Parks and Rec building is the perfect slope for having a picnic and watching boats on the lake.

There are even permanent fixtures for barbecuing if that's what you'd like to do.

Great facilities and hosts at Jacomo Campground, Jacomo Marina, Missouri Town 1855 and Native Hoofed Animal Enclosure. We've really enjoyed our stay here.

It's super fun to go out paddling on the lake. Most of the time the water is calm and easy to relax on. There is also enough space for a lot of people to be there and it not be crowded.

This was my first time here. We went out on our friends Pontoon. It was a very beautiful place that is well upkept. Didn't see any trash just laying around and the staff was extremely friendly. I will definitely be back here

Pretty, dog friendly, no one else around every time we've visited the lake. Nice views and you can see geese, ducks and other birds around.

Lake Jacomo is one of our favorite lakes in Missouri. There is a 40hp limit on pontoon boats and 25hp on fishing boats. No PWC’s allowed. Because if this the lake is relatively peaceful and quiet. You may even have the lake to yourself on the weekdays. North marina sells fuel (at marina prices), beer, snacks, fishing gear and bait, and also rents boats.

They are no longer letting us feed the Elk and Buffalo at the fence, so we've had to use Door Dash. Granted it takes a high tip to get the delivery guy to climb the fence and one was partially eaten by a passing rabid possum, but in general I feel like it was worth it. Dress code was casual camouflage.

This is a great park connected to Lake Jacomo. There are many shelters with picnic tables and playgrounds, along with great trails for outdoor adventures. Pets are allowed on a leash. It's fun for the whole family.

How to get some kayak licenses. Those ladies were very very nice. Even gave me some string.

We really enjoy this area. Ww like the hiking. Our favorite trail is Tcha-To-Ga. It is about 1 mile and there are beautiful views. It is a loop so it is easy to navigate, some of the other trails aren't as easy to navigate. We enjoy feeding the animals at the hooved animal enclosure, renting canoes, and visiting the Bourrough's Audobahn bird sanctuary.

The staff always goes above and beyond. Also they are getting new pontoon boats and the same price for a rental!!!

Great place, but it's need more care for The facilities. Spot like this beed more considerations.

It’s a great place to visit and have some hikes on some trails, but it is seasonal. Bathrooms are closed.
