LaMar's Donuts and Coffee

We drive from another town over, that has a LaMar's, just to shop this one. Best donuts ever!! And their customer service can't be beat, every time we come we are greeted with pleasant smiles and helpful attitudes. The donuts are even cheaper than the other stores. We just can't ask for more! ☺💙🍩

Amazing donuts! Best glazed donut I've ever had. Soft and light, but still thick and filling. Amazing! All of the flavors looked delicious. The cinnamon sugar, the chocolate coconut, chocolate sprinkles, and the Bavarian cream filed long John were all awesome. Can't wait to try all the flavors!

But just a heads up, if you place an order in advance (even days in advance) it does not guarantee that it is filled. They fill the order 30 mins before your scheduled pick-up time with whatever is left at the store.

As a couple, we decided early on that we wanted our favorite things served on our wedding night, regardless of tradition. We were so happy that we ditched the wedding cake and went for donuts instead.

Excellent. So after the storm, pretty much everyone's power was out. So lots of ppl were getting donuts. I went to dunkin donuts first because they were closer. They were running low on donuts which was understandable. What I didn't understand was the level of rudeness about it. After being rude they had the audacity to ask me what I was gonna order. I replied "nothing".
So I called Lamar's before I headed that way. Admittedly I should have done that before going to Dunkins. The guy on the phone from Lamar's was so nice. I went there, got a dozen of excellent donuts. It was my first time there and I am now going to be a regular customer.
I am so glad the other donut shop was rude! I would have stupidly continued to give them my money. I spend a fair amount of $ on donuts. What can I say? When it comes to donuts I'm like the rat off of Charlotte's web at the fair.🤷‍♀
Now, I don't know that I can pinpoint a favorite donut at Lamar's because I haven't sampled them all. It is however my intention to give each and every donut the respect it deserves by sampling them. Have I mentioned that Lamar's donuts aren't dry like dunkin donuts are?
I have tried the chocolate cake donut. Excellent.
Pineapple cake donut. It is good. It's not overwhelming. It has a good balance of Pineapple flavor.
The cherry donut was very good.
My grandkids have given the sprinkle donuts a thumbs up which is impressive because they are tough critics.
However, there is one donut 🍩 that is extraordinary and makes my carb calorie loving heart happy because it is the best damn donut I have ever eaten and it's the......
Nah.....can't tell you because then everyone would want it and I'd have to fight for my favorite donut. Let's just say if you're a fall person you'll love this donut so much you won't have to drive almost 2hrs away to a certain town in kansas to get one like it.

Absolutely massive apple fritters, a little less crispy than i personally prefer but the amazing cinnamon flavor makes up for it. Great service, good coffee. Wish i lived closer so i could try the entire selection

Great donuts, great variety.

I really like cake donuts, so the blueberry cake, the cake with white frosting and the old fashioned are my favorite. Jelly filled are good as well.

My wife likes the sugar coated and the standard glazed (boring, I know), but if that's what you're into go ahead.

I don't think they have any bad donuts here so don't be afraid to try anything they serve.

I've traveled the country, lived in many places, and nothing compares to LaMar's Donuts! I first learned of LaMar's back in the 1980s when I worked near the original location. Was thrilled when they franchised years later. The Blue Springs location is the BEST! I no longer live in KC, but I make a point to stop into the LaMar's in Blue Springs whenever I'm back in town for a Chiefs home game. Warning - they are addictive!

This LaMar’s was beautiful and the service was fast and friendly. I was in and out in under 3 minutes and they took Apple Pay. The old fashioned non-glazed donuts were SO good and reheat in an air fryer (I froze some to preserve them) VERY nicely. Thanks!
