A great little hideaway in town. Within walking distance of the National Park Truman visitors center and home. Plenty to do down town. The slots are about 20’ apart and fully paved. Full hookups and plenty of room to back in. We did not get the pass for the bathhouse nor WiFi, I found them in my email the day we were leaving. As far as train noise it is just the rumbling down the track two blocks away. The best part is no train horns.
If we come through again we will try to stay. A+

I loved my experience here! This is where we will stay the next time around. The facilities are very clean and large, just perfect! The trailer is sitting level without much assistance due to even concrete. Close to the city, I feel very safe!

This was a last minute one night stop for us and there was room for our two RVs. Sites were very nice and everything was well kept and clean. We even needed to do Some work on our windshield and a really helpful attendant was able to get us the ladder that we required. There is a train that went through a couple times overnight but it wasn’t too much of a bother. Thanks for having us 😃🚍

This campsite is set up for the transient camper. The lots are small and close to one another. They have concrete pad and require little, if any adjustments to make your rig level. Full hookups are provided. The bathrooms and showers are clean and well maintained. The showers are big and have a lot of room to move around. This site is located near a lot great points of interest making it easy to walk to.

This is a convenient place to park to visit Independance MO, and it's close to Kansas City as well. Easy to book online and has self check in as well. All sites are back in, level, and there is some room with grass in between sites. Much better than the gravel, dust pits that some RV parks are like today. We stayed here on our way to Boulder, CO and stopped by again on our way home. If you like Kansas City BBQ, get take out at Smokeys BBQ Est 1971 for the best you've ever had!

$50. ONE OF THE BEST OF THE BEST! Concrete paved site. Easy convenient no-stop registration when you make your reservation. Modern, very clean shower/toilet facility.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL
It is an rv park. Very nice owners. The sites are cement and mostly level. They have a few pull-thru sites and the rest are back-in. The neighborhood around the park is low income. Amtrac is across the street. We would stay here again.

This was the 3rd time we've been here. It's on our way home. Absolutely love this place. The bathrooms are immaculate. The sites are easy to get into, also very well kept up. It is in a good location. Can walk around neighborhoods and other places such as restaurants are nearby. Would highly recommend this place.

We stayed here June 3-6, 2022. Great location for the LDS history we were there to experience. Good price, easy check in and check out online. We had full hookups and never used the facilities they offer, so I can’t review those. The park is very clean and well maintained. There was a large grassy area next to the park (maybe considered part of the rv park?) to play and/or walk dogs. Pretty area. We would stay there again.

Note: there are railroad tracks just across the street and we happened to be on the end of the park next to the tracks. If you have a light sleeper, keep that in mind when you reserve your spot. It may be quieter on the other end of the park.🙂

We stayed at the park for an extended timeframe while working in the area. The park served our needs well. There are few amenities here, but it is in close proximity to area attractions. This is more of a place to stay while you go out and see the sites versus a destination itself. No long term rates, but the electricity isn't metered so there's a trade-off. The caretakers are available, but not intrusive. It was well kept, clean bathrooms and showers, and most sites are paved.

Great place for short stay. We just did overnight. There's really no store so no supplies available. The bath house was clean and suited our needs. Some sites are shaded by large trees. Our site was partially shaded by a large tree, which is important during the heat of summer. The sites are level concrete pads. Easy entrance and exit, too. They will be taking reservations online by September according to the lady in the office. She communicated well with us prior to our arrival so we would have all the info we needed in case we arrived after office hours.

This is the second time staying here, I really need to spend a longer time as there is so much history here! Add an extra day if you are here on business to take in the Presidential history here!!
I stay here when visiting my sister as it's fairly convent for her and the family to come get me.
I do recommend making sure the vents and windows are closed at night, the train station/crossings are just below you and apparently there is an occasional need to blow the horn continuously at 2:45 AM, only happened 1 of the 3 night's I stayed, of course the night before I was heading out early, LOL. The park is well maintained and the concrete pads are quite level. Yes I will stay here again!!

A quiet little gem. The train went through at some point but really quiet otherwise. Very well kept and clean bathrooms. Great night sleep. Great brewery within walking distance in the downtown area with amazing food. Thank you!!

Good overnight stop. Convenient to the interstate. Staff are friendly. Very reasonable rate. Sites are spacious. Bathrooms and showers were closed due to Covid, but not their fault. Laundry was open. Walking distance of Truman library. This will be our new overnight stop whenever we are heading south.

It was great! We're glad we we're able to find this RV spot! James was nice, the showers felt great! There was power, water, sewer! And there was laundry, a nice big grassy field! Cool squirrels in the trees! Close to the Independence Visitors center, temple lot, Community of Christ temple, and a few other church history sites!

Campus RV Park is a nice park located right in the middle of Independence, MO. Great access to Kansas City and surrounding area. Park has nice concrete pads with all utilities well located. Water pressure was about 50 psi and electric was 124 volts on both legs. We had to leave a day early to beat some weather on our planned route and Campus RV Park graciously refunded our unused night. This is a great park. Just be careful getting to the park. You have to travel through some small roads and even under a low railroad bridge on Truman Ave. We made it just fine in a 37’ motorhome.

We've been on the road all the way from Florida and Campus is the best campground we've stopped.
Paved ways and spots, clean and organized.
It's managerial was very careful and gentle.

If you're at St. Louis area, definitely worth stay here.

We had an excellent stay here. There was an unexpected snow and the manager let us borrow a ladder to clean off the snow. We had a beautiful site and it was so quiet. Even with kids playing in the ❄ it was a quiet campground. Beautiful grass and lots of amenities. Great level site with plenty of room to move in and out. BEST internet ever!!! Will be back!
