Jackson County Animal Hospital

I've taken two of my dogs here for awhile and the doctor is so patient and kind. He sat down next to my scared German shepherd and took time to work with him. This morning I called about my husband's heeler who had a sore leg and the lady at the front desk was able to work him in. My dogs are my babies and I trust the staff at Jackson County Animal Hospital to give them the best care. They do what is necessary and aren't after your money. They really put our pets first!!💖

They took very good care of my German Shepard Chief, and we will take him back whenever he needs care. Prices seemed reasonable to us.

I was extremely impressed. My dog is very protective and he allowed that doctor to actually take the muzzle off and he did beautifully. I'm not taking my dog anywhere else!

The prices and services are straight to the point compared to most places that want to set one up for monthly payments on a yearly plan without caring for one's budget.

I have been taking my dogs here for almost a year now. They are absolutely the best of the best. Everyone here is extremely kind and sweet and always takes care of my dogs with love. Jennifer and Kim the receptionists always greet me with a smile and since coming here for awhile they have remembered all my dogs names and even mine. I have a dog who is super anxious and they make it a point to come over and sit on the floor with him to show him love and they are just so patient.
Dr. Coles is the absolute best vet ever. He has not only saved my dogs life, he is always making sure he treats my dogs as if they were his own. That mean everything to me and he always goes the extra mile for them.

I've had dogs and cats all my life and Vets tend to treat them like animals.

The entire staff did great when we had to put our cat sown. Jennifer worked is in for the later in the afternoon when our kitty couldn’t wait any longer. Then Dr. Soto and his assistant took extra special care of her while she transitioned. When we went to pick up her ashes they had had beautiful paw prints and nose prints done for us as well. We immediately made appointments for our other cats after this experience!

These guys are wonderful. Took real good care of our new puppy and got him all up to date. Recommended potential preventative measures to make sure our new great Dane puppy stays healthy and all at a very reasonable price. Visit were timely and professional. Would recommend.

The Staff was courteous and helpful. The Vetrinarian was great with my dog and there was a level of respect that was lacking at one of the Big Corporate owned offices that were only interested in selling me expensive and uneeded SVCs. They cared about my dog's health.

Wow oh wow! I came here on a referral from a friend! I am so pleased with the service they provided! Ellie Mae is recovering wonderfully and she is no longer in pain! Thank You ALL!!!

I'm so glad we took our pet here. The staff were friendly and passionate. They were very honest and open about pricing and what options we had. I recommend this vet's office.

Started going there in 1986. Have enjoyed having my animals under their care. Would highly recommend this place.

The staff was friendly and caring. The facility was clean. Dr. Coles was amazing and was able to keep my puppy calm while she was getting examined. Will definitely be a returning client, and I highly recommend Jackson County Animal Hospital.

Everyone is so nice and friendly. They treated our Brisket with so much care. She was so scared and nervous and they all made her feel safe. Thank you for your care.

I rate a veterinarian by how SaraLee responds to them. Sara is a loving dog and has been socialized quite a bit.
Once during the spring, Harry and I went out to run errands. It was shortly after I had health problems and wanted to stay in the car while he made his final stop and went in the store.
Sara and I were in our car with the windows partially down. Two parking spaces over there were two girls standing beside their car. I guess they were enjoying the nice weather. Sara watched them for a few minutes and went from wagging her tail to growling, she was totally fixed on them and wouldn't stop. Her hair on her body was standing straight up ..going down the center of her body.
Since that time Sara has only displayed that behavior one other time with a vet we use to have..... for only one day. Within that visit , each time he would approach her she would start growling and wouldn't stop.
We changed vets and started to go to Jackson County Animal Hospital. There isn't anyone there she doesn't like. Sara enters into the reception area and enjoys attention from everyone who is willing to give it to her.
I feel so comfortable in how they handle her and feel great that in everything we have needed for Sara they have given her special care. I have seen attention to all customers and their fur babies. This is good... Real good for me.

Yesterday we took Sara to Jackson County Animal to get her paw nails clipped. She is so sweet. She jumped out of the truck at Harry's command and with tail wagging so hard her backside was too, she greeted the customers as they were making their exit.
There were three young ladies and they took the time to fuss over my little one and it made her so happy.
She cracks me up.... when she entered the waiting room she immediately walked over and sat on the scale like she was the only one around. I wrote down her weight so when it came our turn she wouldn't have someone step aside to her persistannce.
The area was very busy, but it is such a great place. All animals are calm and happy. The assistant is plesent and the Dr. even entered the waiting area and approched me asking me where I got my fancy yellow rain boots.
We had a brief, but funny conversation and the whole time Sara was wagging her tail and receiving all sorts of attention. She didn't move from my side, but she recognized her name being spoken. She was enjoying the experience. She was called in for her visit and shortly after we were ready to leave.
It gives me so much pleasure to know how much they are invested in their work, and the care of my fur baby and me as her owner.
Very professional.

It is September 23, 2019 and we have had SaraLee with us for almost two years.

We have taken Sara to Jackson County Animal Hospital for shots and wellness check ups... and.... for a squirrel attack.
Sara won, but not till the squirrel bit her.
We took her right to the animal hospital and they did surgery on her. This was her first sleep over anywhere.
They reported she was in great sprits and wanted to greet everyone when she got out of surgery and was able to move around. Recovery time was quick for her. She enjoyed all the people around her and did well.
What else could a Mom and Dad of a fur baby ask for.
To me they are a great team of caring people. Sara enjoys each time we go.

Today is June 28, 2020,
It has been awhile since I have updated Jackson County Animal Hospital.
My feelings have increased in how I feel about how our Sara is cared for at this place.
I must say , I am so pleased they expanded the Animal Hospital and moved the clinic up to the street level of the building , and the bottom is still being used for overnight observation kennels for surgeries and boarding.
Sara was there ther at first part of the Covid19 outbreak.
I was so impressed with how they handled the office and as usual Sara felt right at home. She just fits right in. She even likes her new vet. Her previous one retired after all the years he put into being the best vet in Independence. I hope he is enjoying his Retirement.

We had a great first experience at Jackson County Animal Hospital! The clinic is clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming. Dr. Coles answered all of my questions, offered puppy training advice, and gave our pup a thorough exam + vaccines. We are very happy with the care our dog received. We will be back!

The staff is usually very busy and you may have to wait a bit to see the doctor. Despite that, they are very fair priced and the staff/team does a great job taking care of all my pets medical needs. They do an outstanding job helping a grieving pet owner make the difficult decision to put their pet to sleep. They are patient and show respect to the family. They even took the time to send a sympathy card to our family via us mail. Words cannot express what that simple gesture meant to my family. ❤

Just had our 1 yr old spade. Staff friendly and helpful. My dog is very skidish at the vet, unfortunately when we went to get the staples removed who ever did the surgery did not notate how many staples they put in her so the tech that was removing them wasn't sure either. Just suggested to bring her back if we find any more. I am pleased with the overall service 😀.
